I am tired of waiting...

I think at this point, I am going to clean up my Mid 2009 24" iMac, update OS and worry about something else.

I agree with you here I have to same Imac as you. I think if nothing happens in October im just going to update the OS and move on with my life.

That´s a beautiful mockup swordylove. Exactly how I hope it will turn out. Except I think the frame should be smaller, that would be more modern I think.
White is sexy, but for a computer screen it´s really a bad solution I think. It takes focus from what´s on the screen. I can even notice this on an ipad. on an iphone its ok I think, but not for larger screens. But that´s just my opinion. Maybe Apple will make white too :) it´s a fashionstatement though and would look cool at hip barber salons

frame, I mean it would be better like this, imo:

I've already posted them in their own thread not so long ago. They have 100% flat behind instead of curved like the current iMac.

Posted them here as decoration because I'm so bored waiting and there's nothing to talk about that hasn't already been talked about.

Oh iMcLovin, the extremely thin sides of the bezel look pretty cool too. :)

Just a provocation.
"Translation"---->: Maybe Cook will push all Apple's energy to improve maps while in the meantine delays the Imacs release because scared to give out after over 500 days a simple spec bump.
Advice: don't take it too serious.

Hint: the people who work on the iMac aren't the same people who work on Maps.

If you already have a 2009 iMac, why are you so excited to get a 2012 iMac? I mean, there have been some spec bumps, but it doesn't seem like a *huge* difference...

3 years is a long time in technology. Looks may not change much (steady on @Edry.hilario, I am not actually suggesting the form factor will not change) but under the bonnet, a great deal

there´s a huge difference between the early 24" 2009 imac and even the current 2011. Bigger screen, much better sound, desktop gpu (the 24" had mobile gpu) going from duo to quad core, SSD drive. Well its a completely different machine. And this is even 1.5 years ago, so a new 2012 27" imac should be world of difference between the 24" 2009 imac.

Having owned a 2009 iMac and now using a 2011 iMac (both top-spec), I concur with those above me who note that the difference in overall performance is noticeable and tangible.

As a 2011 owner, I'm skipping 2012 (unless it's some awesome new form factor), but as a 2009 owner, I upgraded to 2011 (and if I had not, would upgrade in 2012).

I believe the current GPUs are all Mobile. The CPUs however are desktop.

I don't understand why people are sayin that because of the iPhone maps situation is gonna delay the iMac wtf what does one have to the with the other the Mac team and iPhone team are completely different teams the ones that work on the iPhone don't also assemble iMacs and crap like that. But if you say that the iPhone and he iMac might be release together then I'd have a whole load of people "oh they don't mix they don't mix " why would they mix it now then with regards to an iOS map issue. It just makes me wonder how much thought you put on the subject

Oh My God^^ i wrote it,it was a joke ^^ tell me its not true:cool::D

I was just joking, its quite clear Apple has several different teams for each line up.

New 2012 leaked. Full aluminum body with new 9" retina screen. Also desktop GPU but no optical drive.
Looks like Apple is returning to its roots.

But, for "only" a spec bump, they could and should have released it long ago! ;)

yep! that is my entire argument. If it is just a spec bump that they could have done months ago Apple will be mocked big time.

Whilst I hope for more, in reality I will just be happy they ahve released updated Macs.

me too but I will still be a bit annoyed it took them so long to release something that was available half a year ago.

I also believe that there is much more in the pipeline than just a spec bump... The waiting time is just toooooo long for a "simple" specs update...

Personally If I don't see an update till December 2012, I'm going to build a Hackintosh and buy a used Cinema Display..
