Wow... here. let me get you some tin foil so I can make you a hat. Yes... this photo is a fake, the moon landing was fake, and 9/11 was an inside job. It all makes perfect sense! Since Al Gore is on the board of Apple and a major shareholder, there is no way he would have been able to get real monitors from them! So they had to photoshop them! Yeah, yeah... that's the ticket!

There was some geezer round these parts a few weeks ago trying to say the 2011 iMac was still fairly priced and sprouted off parts prices while not taking into account other intangible elements that make up a price. We slapped him around like an orca whale playing with a seal!

I wasn't bragging or rubbing it in anyone's face. You're just miserable, and projected your anger at me due to the lack of an iMac refresh. You also misconstrued an innocent post for bragging-what part of my post demonstrated gloating? I was simply just adding some positivity to my post, similar to when someone else shares their newest tech purchase and are excited to do so. If you can't show support for someone else and insist on being a Debbie downer, then you should really consider a "gtfo" because you're only making yourself look foolish with such immature and crass comments.

I'm trying to keep the thread relevant and positive. I think we can all agree or at least most of us, that yes we are really frustrated on the issue. By posting irrelevant stuff like the iPad mini event wasn't announced then that means that there won't be a new iMac you just posting ignorant stuff because the iPad mini doesn't have anything to do with the iMacs no one ever said sice the iPad mini is getting announced then there will be an iMac. The part of rubbing on our faces is meant directly to the fact that you said "on a positive side I just got an iPhone 5" or "is not happening guys", now how would that comment make anyone feel any better you're simply instigating us waiting for the iMacs all the rumors pointed out to sep-late oct release. making negative and iphone 5 comments is simply irrelevant, you'll trying to make us feel jealous of you and it's not happening. We just don't need your negativity and unsupportiness here instead we need to be supportive of each other we're all going through it and we need to stay positive, but if that's the kinda stuff you're gonna post then gtfo.

Because I've pushed him before and when I do that he doesn't respond back so I try to keep it nice and not to pushy because he's never gonna tell me even if he knows he's just doesn't he kinda just waits for all the rumors sites to post things and then all he says is "yep" so by him telling me moving on is a mistake to me is just a hint saying they are on their way but its kinda his way of saying things. If I push too much pressure he just doesn't respond back so at least I got some hope and something out of Jim
Also I hate to break it to you if you change the delivery dates to two day shipping then you'll see it ships normally if they would indeed be having stock issues then they wouldn't be able to ship it in two days

Both the French and the Italian apple store now ships in 3-5 days
Moreover, rumors in France mentions reseller are clearing old stock

hey guys even if its not true at least is some sort of rumors we have gotten nothing like this not even speculation from sites like this or 9to5 mac so lets be content that something was posted about the imac its better than nothing. I already feel more confident by what jim dalrymple told me lets hope our beloved imac is indeed around the corner.

the 3-5 days delivere in fr. goes on all the models. Which most of the time indicates some holidays etc. that are postponing delivery. Kind of weird if they are running out of stock on all models at the same time. But I cross my fingers as always.

i dont think it has to do with holidays at all if you check the macbook pros are still in tact they are ready to ship same as for the mac pros and minis but when you go check for the imac its says 3-5 days clearly somethings up
I also think that next week could a possible timeframe for Apple releasing new products of their desktop line. Let's just hope.
Interesting, though not iMac-related, is that the mid-end mac mini is in stock but will be delivered within 7 days (standard shipping in SF area), which, to me, sounds very unspecific since it is simple math: delivery date = actual date + 7 days (I checked the last 3 days).
Moreover, and that might be more interesting, there are no Apple stores in the SF area that have the mid-end mini in stock, also pointing to the 19th of October (plus 7 days).
I know it's very vague and my observations must not nessecarily implicate any updates soon.

In Aus, all BTO iMacs have delayed shipping times too. Yesterday they were 1-3, now they are saying 4-6 (days).
I'm predicting next Tuesday, I just have a feeling, the 16th will be the day.
Spec bump and possibly a new screen, don't think well get much of a re-design, and I'd be happy with that.

- I'll be getting the highest CPU there is BTO.
- I will buy my RAM aftermarket and installing it myself, assuming they don't do a redesign and take that ability away from us. I'll get 32GB (4x8GB)
- I'd like at least a 256GB SSD, possibly an internal 1/2TB, depending on price.
- I'll also go for the best graphics option.

Obiously the image on the left is titled BEFORE (it's a screenshot I got almost three months ago) and the right one is called NOW !!!
Well at the same time apple store UK, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Belgium has everything in stock, even if I put something in the basket it says delivery 15 Oct which is just the next working day so I am not really sure what is happening in France and Italy...
