2012 iMac release date?

I don't think we will see them in November, because apple could easily start to sell them now, and say 2-3 weeks shipping as with their other stuff.
Since we still don't have nay option to buy one, it means December.
My opinion the Mac we saw in the apple keynote, wasn't a full Mac, means they put just a screen and under the table was some Mac who transmit the data.
Apple is far far from finishing it.
Good thing they showed us how it's look like and that there is something in the works.

Yeah and they could easily wait 2 weeks and don't take a pre- order.
Well then I guess all the new iMacs that media could test which stood on tables were fake too?
It's funny how someone always freak out and make the most idiotic assumptions just because its not coming earlier than expected.
The 21,5" WILL be released in November. And it could happen on any day ( though a Tuesday or Friday is most likely)
Ohhh what a pitty, Apple could show us what they are used to show: delays, pretty-upper-extra-high prices with low quality afther months waiting like has happened with the iPhone5 that you pay 700 golden euros for a SCRATCHED PHONE... It's a SHAME. Tim Cook lets cook an omelette and leave other to lead Apple!
By other side I've noticed that "apple.com" has changed the main image from iPad mini to iPad retina to promote it, so I suposse iMac 21.5" will go to Decembre

I'm sorry to tell you, but resellers get little to no advance notice of release dates... You have almost as much knowledge (maybe more!) than most resellers. Even the local distributors only get the SKUs within 24 hours of launch. They have have literally just picked "mid November" as their expected date.
well thats probably not true, resellers should get an idea of when to expect stock in order to get ready/make space and to the receive the stock, I can't imagine Apple just telling nothing about this beforehand and just send a shipment
My guess that resellers and Apple stores get the dates but like few days before it arrives so its not really a big deal and internet doesn't start buzzing about it because it happens pretty fast
If Apple says "available in xy" it's mostly the last possible date of the month.
So i think the release date could be the 27th of november and the 18th of december.
But in my opinion it's more realistic that the iMac will be released in january (for the 21'5'') and february (for the 27'').

If i can't get the iMac in November I'm gonna buy a cheap Win8 PC with 23" screen and f4ck Apple......

I remember the good old days, when "Available Now" was an important part of every new product introduction. It is very disappointing to have to wait, but we did with they last changed the iMac too.

With black friday almost here, it would be logical for Apple to update their online store for 21" iMacs the same time as any BF offers rather than take it down twice. Although in the past they have seemed to like Tuesday for hardware updates.
With the delay of iTunes, I doubt very much that they would delay the new hardware too... I think if anything you may see the launch of the base 21" instores with a short delay on BTO, We may even see the 27" at the same time.
The problem with pre-orders is that Apple Pre-Authorise cards for payments to confirm their orders. Most banks drop the authorisation after 7-10 days meaning Apple would have to risk the charge to cards after the machine has been built and/or the customer would have to see the money leave their account weeks before they get their iMac.
So its safe to say, if they do allow any pre-orders it will the week before, or they will be instantly available. Either way for me I would rather have the longer delay and the hardware and software be ready than a half baked product.
Saying that I appreciate people like to organise their finances this close to christmas. I think in fairness this is also less than ideal for Apple as much as their customers.

Bad new boys! An Apple Resheller in Spain has just said me that new iMac is gonna be for sale early Decembre. Well... Apple has done it again, they told us that we could bouy it on Nov but in fact.... for Decembre!!!!!!

Apple Stores don't get information before the website. They get it at the same time. It would be on the website by now if it was the 21.5".
Not even everyone on this forum is an exception. Frankly its only two people, just you and I, who know anything about computers.
