Okay, let's say it's gonna be released at WWDC. When would it ship out then?
I'm having a hard time finding much to go off in judging the card. Apparently Kepler brings significant advantages with battery life and still provides great graphics, but I can't find much specifically about the 650.
One of my concerns is the fact I've invested in a lot of GRAID's which features USB 2.0, FW400/800, and eSata. They have thunderbolt drives available, but I don't want to ditch the ones I have now. FW800 is plenty fast for what I do, and now that port is gone on the MBP.
I wonder what I could do :/
Man...sucks. My daughter is starting a new job the first of June and needs to replace her Macbook. Don't think she will be able to wait until June 11.
Looking to upgrade from my current Macbook 1,1 to 13" or possibly a 15".
Based on the geekbench scores posted for the new Macbook Pro's I should see a slight performance improvement as my current geekbench score is 2645.
if the rumors are true (or parts of it) i think they will use the space to increase the battery.anyone thinks the new MBP can still hold 2 hard drives?..

I'm guessing it will have a blade-style SSD like the Air along with a normal 2.5" HDD.
New job that requires a MacBook ??Then company should provide. My guess is that she can wait , if she must have the new one

So sans optical drive= room for multiple SSD or HDDs? And maybe a slightly lower price?
Apple isn't about to remove the optical drive just to fill that space with nothing or another hard drive. They're not going to introduce a blade SSD + HDD setup either. We're looking at a typical 2.5" long, 9.5 mm deep hard drive with SSD option.

I'm saying it's likely that Apple will stick with relatively the same storage options in their 2012 MacBook Pro as in the 2011 model. Apple doesn't currently offer the option to put a second hard drive in your MacBook Pro. That's a modification made by the user. When I said "with SSD option" I meant that the HDD can be upgraded to a SSD, not a SSD in addition to a HDD.isn't a typical 2.5" with SSD option = fill the optical drive space with another hard drive(SSD,HHD, etc?)...
