RBR was set to announce a change to their driver lineup this weekend in Belgium. But Helmut Marko now says it won't happen this weekend. Of course there still seems to be a 99% chance that it's Ricciardo taking Webbo's seat but with Kimi wanting to go to Ferrari and Alonso looking around I guess there is maybe a 1% chance Alonso goes to RBR and Kimi goes back to Ferrari.

Just trying to inject a little excitement into what's turned into a boring silly season :D

would have been better if you could've thrown a Jarno Trulli rumour in to boot... just saying.. :p

Gotta look up the tv listings. .....NBCSN says Aug 25 at 730PM and re airs at midnite. Whaaaaaat! 730PM!!!! Maybe there is a mistake. I've gotta check on this one. Geeeesh, I wish SPEED was still around/and or doing the F1. NBCSN is flaky. They say that they'll air the race in the am but then they switch it from their HD channel to a regular channel and put the HD on later. I can't wait to see a race again. Go Alonso and Kimi. Finger boy, well 12th sounds nice:D

Bad luck Paul. It nearly came off. Still Lewis is best on Saturday. Lets hope he can take it to finger boy on Sunday.
Spa is always hard to predict. Lets see what the weather does tomorrow.

And still no announcement on who replaces MW!

So close for di Resta. If qualifying was just a minute or two earlier he might have been able to hold on to the pole.

The more I see of the inconsistency of Alonso and Kimi the more I think it's only Hamilton that can take the championship fight to Vettel. Go Hamilton! But like you say, it all depends on the weather. Anything can happen if it rains.

Dam you finger boy! Hamilton had no answer on lap 1. If he had taken it to him, I think Vettel had plenty in reserve.

And poor old Paul Di Resta. Nothing quite worked out for him did it.

It looked to me like Hamilton hit the curb to hard at the top of Eu Rouge and lost some momentum which helped allow Vettel past. But judging by what happened throughout the rest of the race Vettel would have ended up in first anyway.

The only thing left to be determined is at which race Vettel will clinch #4. Hopefully there will at least be a few exciting races left this year. This is 2011 all over again :(

More rain, thats what 2013 needs. Dry races are going to become predictable. Alonso seamed really hacked off straight after the race. Vettel and Hamilton were chatting like best friends, and Alonso was just ignoring them. Strange, perhaps he has realised he is never going to win another championship (unless Red Bull go off the rails!)

You know, I don't believe that it's all finger boy as a driver that's doing the winning. When are they going to tear apart his ride to see what's underneath the hood so to speak. Yeah, Webber supposedly has the same car but you don't see him running away. I will admit that the "brains" behind RBR are doing their job. Small wing, low drag. Why didn't any of the other teams think of that? Don't tell me because of rain. Those teams get the best forecasts. I'm sure that they knew it wasn't going to rain and that they wouldn't need extra downforce. Poor Kimi, brake failure. Good job Alonso! Come on Lewis, Kimi, Alonso....anybody....please.

Fred crushed it today. From 9th to 2nd!

True, but he is still not going to catch finger boy. As long as the three chases all take turns at winning and coming second, Vettel can poodle round in third every week. They got a lot of criticism this week for saying it, but I think McLaren have the right idea. Write of 2013 and concentrate on 2014.

We did need some rain yesterday ;)

I think Alonso was thrilled with second after his abysmal qualifying. He was not happy to lose more points to Vettel of course. I think he seemed "hacked off" because he has dignity and respect for the podium. He wasn't going to act like a jack!$* as Hamilton and Vettel did.

Can you picture Jackie Stewart or Niki Lauda acting like pre-pubescent boys on the podium? It's embarrassing. Vettel has no social skills. He's now getting booed on the podium regularly and has no idea why.

The booing was for a protestor above the podium wasn't it?

I wasn't sure what the booing was for. DC didn't make it any clearer. I don't like Vettel winning all the time, but I wouldn't boo him. It's not his fault he has the best car and is a good driver. I just prefer it when there is a bit more of a level playing field.

Daniel Ricciardo has been confirmed as Mark Webber's replacement at Red Bull for next year. It was the most logical choice. He will clearly be a number two driver. No more need for any explicit drivers orders

Kimi seems to have three options available for him: Stay at Lotus, move to Ferrari, or be out of F1. My hunch is that if he stays in F1 it will be at Lotus. Even if Massa is out I don't see Ferrari taking on the disruption that can be Raikkonen.

Did his new boss essentially just damn him with faint praise?

"Since Mark announced his retirement, Christian and I have been looking carefully at the driver market, along with Helmut Marko and Dietrich Mateschitz. We could have taken an experienced driver, somebody guaranteed to deliver to a relatively known level, or equally we could take on a much younger driver in the hope that they’ll develop to a very high level..."
