Arizona is the new Seattle even if Romo returns.

Matter of fact I'm gonna call it now. Russell Wilson will be traded next season.

Even if they blow up the team, the defense is going to remain intact and Seattle is going to need a QB, I don't see anyone out there that they could just bring in ether via free agency or through the draft and get to start and be effective right away. Wilson is going to get a new contract but I don't think he will get HUGE money like a top 5 QB.

Pretty silent on here tonight after Brady showed Manning who the real best quarterback is. :D;)

He was the better QB today, no doubt about it. Last January, not so much.:p;)

Being good in January doesn't matter when you **** the bed like Peyton did last February. ;)

Lets hope for another rematch this coming January.. but hopefully in Foxboro this time.

Anyone see the red-zone scrum in the Seattle-Oakland game? BeastMode took the ball to about the 2, where he ran into a wall; then a bunch of Hawks took on the wall and just pushed them across the goal line. Looked at once both dangerous and awesome.

Wow, I was surprised at how easy the Patriots rolled over the Broncos. I know Belichick seems to get into Manning's head but wow, that was an overwhelming and decisive win by Brady and company :D

I wouldn't get too giddy about that win... In the NFL its pretty hard to beat a good quality team twice. This is reminiscent of last year... Patriots had that great win after being down 20+ in the first half... then the Broncos got the best of them in the second go-round when it really counted

The Patriots are firing on all cylinders, there's no denying that, this of course is no guarantee of them winning in the future, but it was a pleasant surprise to see them handle the Broncos so well.

We'll take him over here in San Francisco. :) He's a team player. We have the superstar Kap over here but sometimes it looks like he tries to do it all himself and he just doesn't have the talent to pull that off. You've got guys in the NFL like Manning and Brady who could make something out of nothing, but Kap is not that guy or he's not matured to that level yet. I would love Russell Wilson.

Arizona crept up on me so quickly and I couldn't name anybody on that team right now that was on the radar so much before this great year. Even if they have a mediocre rest of the season, the NFC West competitors are toast in 2014. It may come down to Cowboys-Cardinals at the end.

I think they're good, but Seattle was crazy good last year. I don't know. I just don't see it.

Why? That would be like trading Brady, Rodgers or Payton Manning (when he was healthy).

You don't get someone that good every year. Its too early to put him in the same circle as those folks but winning a championship, certainly brings him closer to that conversation. I can't see any reason why Seattle would do something like that.

Pete Carroll trades good players like trading cards.

Wilson is good but i've noticed something about him and it's not a good thing.

He can not complete high percentage passes over the middle in crossing patterns. I think it's because of his height. He knows those "lanes" for sideline, end zone and 25+ yards but he seems to have trouble seeing over the linemen for those quick 5-15 yard passes that Manning and Brady do so well.

Maybe I'm just being over emotional because Seattle only has a 5-3 record. And I realize Seattle has 6-8 starters out right now.

But you have seen what Seattle did with Harvin. $60 million contract one year.Traded the next.

That and Wilson is due for a new contract and that is going to be another $60 million one.

Who is Seattle going to get to replace Wilson? Quite frankly, I think you are delusional to think that Seattle gets rid of Wilson.

I agree with you. While I would love to see Wilson traded to us (San Francisco), or at least away from the NFC West, he's probably safe at home in Seattle.

But with hat being said, it was really strange to see the Niners get rid of Alex Smith, especially when he was hot. After our heartbreaking Super Bowl loss in the 2012-2013 season, there was the "what if" talk about if we had kept the more experienced Smith. For us to dump Smith then was as crazy as it would appear if Seattle dumps Wilson now. Some talk here:

If we fail to make postseason this year and KC gets there with Smith and does well, then all that Alex Smith talk will start up all over again. Getting rid of Smith could very well have been the stupidest move in the NFL in the past few years. There's already a lot of hate against coach Harbaugh this year, and the mediocre record of our team, and seeing Smith do well are not things that will bid in Harbaughs favor. If he had a different personality, the talk would be about how Harbaugh brought us into successive postseason runs and successfully rebuilt the team, but his demeanor sours his legacy with many Niner fans. Not getting along with suits also hurts things:

We just can't be a multiple professional sport winner in same year like a real city like Boston (most recently), LA, or New York. We get hot in one arena like football (where Montana-Rice is all the rage) but then the baseball Giants can't put it together. Now that baseball is doing well in Bay Area, the Niners and Raiders simply stink.

The difference there is Harvin was toxic on the clubhouse. To be sure, they are worse off as a team now that he's gone but we don't know what kind of problems he was creating in the clubhouse.

Russell is a gifted young player who still has a lot to learn about being a QB in the NFL. I don't see him leaving Seattle for a very long time (if at all)

Last year we had an injured Gronk and glass hip Talib as our only defensive back that knew how to play football. When Talib went down the complexion of that playoff game completely changed.

This year.. if Gronk can stay healthy and Revis & Browner can continue to solidify the defensive backfield.. look out Manning.

Browner..hmm...Wasn't he that PED guy from Seattle people were complaining about last year ?

;)
