Packers deserved it. What a bunch of morons. Throwing away a sure win.

Green Bay deserved to lose that. Let's keep running the ball for a loss. Great strategy.

Wow. Absolute horrid coaching job by Green Bay.

Man, can't believe the Packers lost. How ******* pathetic was that?

I think the NFL needs to reconsider OT rules. Both teams need at least one attempt to win it, it's unfortunate that Rodgers doesn't get an opportunity. Both teams should be able to have the ball once and after that, first team score wins.

Disagree, keep the rules the same.

The end zones are situated west to east aren't they?
No, the Clink is N/S on the meridian – the open end ("Hawks Nest") faces the center of the city (Pioneer Square). The Seahawks sideline is on the west side, placing the visiting team in the sun for part of many games – and yes, the sun does appear in Seattle on a fairly regular basis.

What's FYNO?
In Green Bay in the winter (well into March) the cold gets to Your coinpurse, it can Freeze it (them) Off.

Holy ****.
Years ago, the city of Seattle had an aggressive program to train up as many people as possible in CPR. Not just EMTs, as many ordinary citizens as they could. That paid off handsomely today, thousands of lives were saved.

The Packers gave it away. They played the 4th quarter as if it was a sure thing. Very poor..

As they were lining up before Lynch's TD run, the defense looked confused, and I thought McCarthy should have called a time-out. His defense wasn't ready and they needed to break the Seahawks momentum. But he didn't call one. In basketball they routinely call timeouts to stop opposing team's scoring runs. It looked like the perfect time to do it. And then ...

Looking at the final stats GB and Seattle were pretty much tied in all categories so I wouldn't say the worst team won today. Just the opposite. The best team won today.

Could GB have pulled off that comeback ?

The only change I would even consider is the end of sudden death and just play a fifth quarter only in the playoffs.

For the regular season, leave the rules as is.

Maybe not even a a whole 15 minutes, maybe a 8 or 10 minute OT. It's just frustrating having a QB like Aaron Rodgers not even touch the ball in OT.

I had thought of that. The problem I see is, 8 minutes may not be enough time for both teams to drive. Maybe like 12 minutes or just the whole 15.

They could go to a three point strategy in the regular season.

Each game is worth three points total.

Winning in regulation is 3 points. Losing in regulation earns 0 points.

Winning in OT is worth 2 points. Losing in OT is worth 1 point.

Congrats to Seattle and it's totally not what any fan of an NFC team not called Seattle Seahawks would have wanted. No matter who takes AFC the Seahawks will win their second in a row as they are peaking at the best time. They may be heavy favorites for Super Bowl but anything can happen and I don't expect any 35 point runaway games but a modest win two Sundays from now. I don't have too much hope for a peaking NE or Indy and at halftime both QBs have less than 100 yards each right now and Luck has no TDs and Brady has just one. But Blount has stood out running for NE.

While Seahawks should win Super Bowl they may not even be up at halftime for Super Bowl and may suck in first few possessions again.

This postseason has been largely underwhelming for offenses but a few Ds have risen to the postseason which is the case with many teams every year.

Personally, I think the packers are a poorly coached team. Probably the most raw talent in the league but suffers from poor coaching.

I'm not sure that's true.

I don't like Dom Capers, but the D that he built this year was quite impressive by Packers standards.

I just think Mike McCarthy completely blew it on the 4th quarter calls.

The Pats were the last team to win 2 consecutive SBs, how sweet it would be for the Hawks to turn that on them.

Looks like it's going to be a Seattle/New England Super Bowl. Regardless of who wins, there won't be any shortage of headline material. If Brady wins another one, he'll be one of three QB's with 4 Super Bowl rings. If Seattle wins, they would have taken down two of the greatest QB's to play the game in the Super Bowl.

Dallas loses. Change the rules.

Green Bay loses. Change the rules.

New England sacked Pete Carroll after three seasons. He got them to the playoffs twice and was 1-2. I guess there might be a chance that they will regret doing that.

Aaron Rodgers just said "we were the better team today." Wow, I'm surprised to hear that (whether or not you believe it's true is beside the point - kind of agree with him). I wonder what the media reaction will be. He tends to get much more of a pass than some other QBs.

Yeah, no, I think New England is pretty happy with the way their coaching has turned out since Pete Carroll.

The better team does not have to kick a game-tying field goal after choking from a 16-0 lead at the half. Or let the BeastMode chew them for 137 yards on the ground. Or lose with a +3 turnover margin. This time, "better" was simply not good enough.
