Yes you're right.. lets just look the other way every time a team messes with the integrity of the game... nothing to see here and nothing to care about....
I was on this side for a while. Then I got real. It's such a small difference between the balls Brady was using and a regulation ball. It doesn't matter.

Goodell is playing all the sheep for fools. All the talking heads on BSPN have been whining for the last 5 months about "Brady not giving up his phone" (hint: The CBA says he isn't supposed to). Goodell then makes the entire "upholding the suspension" about Brady's phone. Predictable. Anything to stir up more **** and keep the attention on his league.

If anyone wonders why someone like Brady would destroy & get new phones fairly often, go ask Jennifer Lawrence.

Meanwhile, Brady's phone is irrelevant to this entire thing for two main reasons:

1) They already have all the Pats employee phones and any correspondence between the Patriots ball boys & Brady.

2) Nobody has proved any air was let out of the footballs anyways. See http://drewfustin.com/deflategate/ for the math that proves the footballs weren't even touched.

I gotta hand it to Goodell though, he's a master manipulator of sheep and media. What better way to keep the entire country talking about football during what's normally the NFLs deadest time of the year?

Agreed with all this. If I call my boss' phone number, my employer doesn't get the right to my phone.

Just admit it, your team is a bunch if liers and cheats.

Agreed with all this. If I call my boss' phone number, Emerson doesn't get the right to my phone.

It just goes to show how much of a manufactured soap opera the NFL has become. They care more about ratings than the truth. The Patriots and Brady being villains will be a ratings bonanza. It's not a coincidence that the game that Brady is scheduled to be back for if the suspension sticks is against the Colts.

"just admit it, you're a murderer. we don't have a body or even know if anyone was killed, but you did it. now shut up and do your time."

Let me know when you can refute the mathematical analysis in that link I provided. I'll take the guy who has a PhD in Physics analysis over some firm that cooks numbers to claim that second hand smoke doesn't cause cancer. There are multiple other analysis by other people who also back up those numbers.

So Hernandez didn't kill a bunch of dudes?
Brady didn't order a bunch of footballs murdered and then lie about doing it?

the **** does hernandez have to do with anything? Clearly by bringing him up you're acknowledging you can't refute the fact that the math states the footballs weren't touched.

Completely unrelated. The fact that you bring Hernandez up indicates you shouldn't be taken seriously in this argument.
He just said that you can't convict without evidence, that isn't true. The league has evidence, and probability of guilt.

The league's only "evidence" is a report with flawed scientific analysis by a firm that is notorious for writing reports the way their paying clients want them to be written.

There are numerous sources who can illustrate how the exponent report is flawed, you don't have to take my word for it. Here's one by the American Enterprise Institute: http://www.aei.org/publication/deflating-deflategate/

Had Brady come out and played nice this would not be an issue, he decided to play it "the Patriot way" and deny and hide, this is what the league went after.

Why is Brady destroying his cell phone if he had nothing to hide? That is a huge admission of guilt.

Yes, but the punishment should also fit the crime. Greg Hardy got four games for something far worse. This is a fine and a slap on the hand and move on. This is not worthy of a quarter of a season suspension

I think this is a deeper indictment of how the Patriots run things. Spygate, deflate gate. Who knows how many other gates they have. The team is just dirty.

LOL.

"if Brady had come out and played nice".

Sorry. LOL.

After the league had straight-up lies leaked to the media multiple times? What happened to Mort's "at least 2 PSI under" report? That's laughable.

Nobody is going to come out and admit to something they didn't do during a witch hunt. That's just laughable.

Brady said UNDER OATH this is standard procedure for him and he's been doing it for years. If you want to know why, go ask Jennifer Lawrence or any of those other celebs who had their data and nudes stolen and posted online.

Regardless, it's irrelevant because the league had the Pats employees phones and could see anything between them and Brady anyways.

You really think a former FBI agent was looking for nudes? The only one straight up lying here is Brady.

If the math proved the balls were tampered with, the rule book stipulates a $25,000 fine to the team. That's it. But the math doesn't even support this.

It's really a deep indictment into how Goodell leverages the rest of the countries jealousy of the Patriots success into increased ratings and revenue for the league. It's amazing how more people can't see through this, but the NFL doesn't exactly have the most intelligent fanbase.

You really think a former FBI agent was looking for nudes?

Doesn't matter. Personal cell phone. Brady has every right to do whatever the **** he wants with it. The NFL office has proved they have more holes than Swiss cheese. Why should he trust them? Why should he give up his personal cell phone against the CBA and his lawyers advice to a witch hunt when he didn't do anything wrong?

They already have records of any communication between Brady and the ball boys. The rest is just a farce to rile up the haters and give them ammo to make it easier for them to ignore math they can't understand.

Anyone remember when Ted Wells announced he was going to use Columbia University physics department to do the scientific analysis of this?

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/28/s...st-over-patriots-deflated-footballs.html?_r=0

What happened to that? All of a sudden that goes out the window and they switch to a firm that's notorious for cooking studies to fit the motive of the entity that commissioned it? LOL. It's pretty obvious that Columbia wasn't going to give Wells the results Roger asked for.

Just admit it, your team is a bunch if liers and cheats.

Yikes, Jets and Giants both in the top 4??? Ouch.

This ends the argument. Game. Set. Match.

You can argue the Pats are cheaters and God knows they are. HOWEVER, everyone is cheating.

As for the NFL having the right to see his phone, no one here has any idea what their contracts state.

As for Brady's innocence, if he wasn't guilty, why the hell would the NFL go after one of their biggest stars and draws?

I think you can make a parallel to Alex Rodriguez. Most fans justify his treatment (over everyone else who has cheated) because of HOW he handled the aftermath. This suspension looks like that - had Brady not responded the way he did, including destroying "evidence", this may have gone better for him.

Isn't that website run by Patriots fans trying to make other teams look bad? Scientific, it is not.

Goodell and Kensil are Jets fans trying to make the Patriots look bad. They're ignoring accurate scientific evidence in favor of their obviously flawed report.

Ratings.

This situation IS NOT a criminal investigation. Please don't use criminal analogies.

This is a corporate investigation. The rules are different.
It's an anti-trust corporation, so it operates at the pleasure of the federal government, hence why Tom Brady is going to go to the courts to fight this out. The punishment does not fit the crime.
