Ok I take it back. Seems like Jays got out of their slump and they're the Jays we expected. This is reminding me of the Texas meltdown back in 2011. They pretty much had the series wrapped up but could not close it at home. Now with the series going back to Toronto, the Rogers Centre is going to be loud with a hot Stroman starting.

i agree with that. he isn't a guy who'd i'd typically call dirty either. that play was though. 2 games and move on.

So much for the 2-game suspension or any kind of immediate revenge. I'll take the 6-run win over retaliation any day. I LOVE how Mattingly was essentially handcuffed and couldn't use Utley because he KNEW it'd be bean-ball time if he pinch-hit with LA down by that much.

Cardinals at Cubs is a really good game. I hope this goes to 5 like the two AL contests.

And I also hope LA wins tonight, not because I like them but because it's just too awful to see such a great pitcher like Kershaw and a strong team like the Dodgers choke so much in games they shouldn't lose. Arguably one of the best teams in the regular season they just don't have the mojo in postseason. The NLCS seems to be out of reach for some reason and it would be interesting to see them make the World Series and get that monkey off their back.

CUBBIES !!!
Go Cubs. Great win.

Meh, don't care about the Rams. It wouldn't bother me if they went back to LA. Especially if the only option to keep them here is for us taxpayers to build them a new stadium.

ironically, i bet the folks in LA wouldn't care if they came back either.

Cubs looking like a team of destiny right now. Very impressive to watch right now. All I ask is that they smash the Dodgers in the NLCS. (Yes, I fully expect the Dodgers to beat the Mets in Game 5, alas.)

As an LA native (while I don't live there, I still have much of my family still around), we're not exactly designed to be an NFL kind of city. USC already takes a good deal of those who want football (or what resembles it after Pete Carroll's NFL college team). It's very much a baseball/basketball team, with hockey bandwagoners and the dedicated nuts who followed the Kings since before Wayne.

BTW, I just found this thread. Kinda glad I found it after Game 3. :p

i don't think you'll like it right now tho, lot's of anti-dodger sentiment...

as an SF Giants fan i hate the boys in blue.

I've seen the Dodgers in plenty of away scenarios. I'll simply do what most of my comrads don't do - shut the heck up and be proper! LOL. Besides, rivalry is awesome. If it weren't for the Giants, the NL West would be so boring. :D
