The Rockies home opener is on Friday. I went to one a couple of years ago. Took my son out of school. Had a great time.

Now that I live 200 miles away from the nearest major league club, I regret not going to more Cubs and Sox games when I lived on the north side of Chicago.

happy opening day to everybody...first game of the season and the Mets won 3-1 against the Nats...go Mets!!!

Giants' hitting is absolutely dreadful so far this season. Pretty much automatic outs with RISP. An already thin lineup has been stretched even thinner by injuries.

Need to find a way to effectively tread water until Hunter Pence gets healthy again.

I don't have data to back this up, but early struggles with RISP seems to even out over the season. Having RISP is a great sign, so I expect the Giants to turn it around.

It's an odd year remember? Giants are going to suck. Everyone knows that, even most of their fans.

:p

Mets did their first sweep of the season, 3 wins in a row...Go Mets!!!

This is going to be a long season for the Yankees.

The whole division is pretty mediocre. As a Sox fan, I'm excited about the lineup, but the pitching...oy vey. I think the pundits are picking the Jays to win the division, but that might just be because more darts hit the Toronto section of the dartboard when they did their 'analysis'. Could be a fun regular season, very short postseason for the AL East.

Yeah, pitching doesn't look so good on the Yankees either. That looked like one of the bright spots going into this year. But Tanaka hasn't gotten off to the start I hoped and Sabathia hasn't bounced back yet. At least the bullpen is good.
