Here is a video I took just a few minutes ago. I was not able to see any UI lag on my 2016 15" MBP.
nice video doesn't seem laggy.
lol i don't know but the fact that someone had to finally go and upload this to youtube is kinda funny.
I just have gotten tired of all the negative posts of people complaining about X, Y, and Z. So I figured an easy way to put to rest the claim that there is "UI Lag" in the new MBP, would be to post a video showing how the UI Responds under differerent situations.
Seems like you're the only one facing UI lag of this extent. You are and outlier. I've tried it myself with the demo unit, not even close to a stutter in Photos, Safari (The Verge) and Applications folder.I am the guy who posted the first youtube video with UI lag. I have exchanged the machine twice, set up as a new laptop, downloaded all my apps from new. Still seeing lag. I guess it's a matter of how many apps you have installed in your system. If you install a lot of apps like I did, you WILL experience lag, no matter what. My video proves that.
I may still keep the laptop, because I really want a light machine. But the UI does lag. The more people know about this the better. If this gets known enough, maybe Apple will fix it. Apple will NOT fix it, if you guys keep sweeping this under the rug.
Here is proof from another macrumors user:

There is always lag the first time you enter mission control - because it requires pulling data of all the other windows. But subsequent times should not experience lag. Did you try it multiple times? I am coming from a 15" rMBP with Iris Pro.I went to a store yesterday and tried out one of the new 15" touchbar MBP, to see how much of an issue this was before buying one.
Opened five-six Safari windows and did a three-finger swipe up to see exposé - oh my the lag... It is even worse than I expected it to be after reading this thread.
I noped my way out of there. Gonna keep my 2015 for the time being. Not gonna pay that much for something that can't even cope with basic OS UI animations.

Hmm interesting. I tried the demo machines myself and didn't experience any of those lags.I tried 5-6 times. Consistent lag all times. Tried it on two machines even.
There's never any lag when you enter mission control on 2015 15". It looks like many people are noticing this UI lag on 2016.There is always lag the first time you enter mission control - because it requires pulling data of all the other windows. Your video proof is going make lots of people feel more calm! Great, thanks! Don't get what those guys with lag are doing wrong.Heres another video of my 2016 15" MBP experiencing no UI Lag with mission control.
Notice I have 6 Safari windows open, each to different websites, and a project in Xcode.

If you look at his video, he showed the "About This Mac" window to show that dGPU was not activated, as if it was, you will see it in that window. We
well, seeing as you are running alot of things, could it be that it has moved everything to the dedicated GPU? this is what I would expect it to perform like, but when I tried it with just some safari windows opened it was definitely bad
Ah, right. If you look at his video, he showed the "About This Mac" window to show that dGPU was not activated, as if it was, you will see it in that window.
Yes safari is supposed to be smoother, but I don't think resizing chrome windows should be an issue on a powerful latest machine. Is safari supposed to be smoother and faster than chrome on Mac? I currently have a mid 2010 13 inch which is pretty slow now but Chrome seems to run smoother for me
