I'd like to get into one of these leagues, last year all the teams were full.......

Okay everyone, I've reactivated our MacRumors NFL Fantasy Football leagues. Be on the lookout for a dedicated thread for each of the three leagues.

I'll put you first on the "waiting list". If anyone drops out then you will get that spot.

Man that poor Tony Romo . His life in football gets so tough..

He's out 6-10 weeks.

The Cowboys are downplaying the injury, i.e., Garrett saying he's day to day and may play the next preseason game, but I don't think he's fooling anyone.

I think he writing is on the wall for Romo an they should now move on. Yes, the cowboys without him at the helm have a horrible track record, but he's unable to finish (or in this case start) a season.

Of all the people on the Cowboys team, I like him the most, he seems like a great guy and great teammate but his cap numbers will become a major issue in the coming years.

2008 -- Broken right pinkie finger. He missed three games
2010 -- Broken left collarbone. - missed 10 games
2013 -- Ruptured disk. - week 17 injury and missed the playoffs so he technically didn't miss any games.
2014 -- Two transverse process fractures (I don't think he missed any games).
2015 -- Broken left collarbone - missed 7 games
2015 -- Broken left collarbone - came back in 2015 only to break his collarbone again.
2016 -- Compression fracture, L1 vertebra - out for several weeks

So for the last 3 years he's been injured more then he hasn't, so while I agree with you that early on and for much of his career he's not been out much, but the last 3 years he's been fragile. He's 36 years old, near the age where many quarterbacks tend to lose their edge. Dallas now is facing a QB who has shown an inability to play a full season, and who's abilities may very well degrade.

Throw in the fact that the cowboys have a cap number are looking rather high in the next couple of years.

Yeah, Romo has had a problem staying healthy. Because of this, I've never drafted him in a fantasy league.
Romo's main problem has been called Jerry Jones. He has no clue how to build a football team. And when he builds one it's after he hurts his QB the year before.

The Broncos have named Trevor Sieman their starting QB for the season opener. Has any defending Super Bowl champion ever started the next season with a second year QB who hasn't ever taken a snap in a regular season game?

I'm not feeling to good about this upcoming season.

I bet Mark Sanchez is bummed about the news as well.

I want the Patriots to come out on fire and play like it's the SB for Tom Brady. If they can go 2:2 without him that would be awesome.

Feel bad for Romo seems like a great guy and just can't get healthy :(

Seriously, I'm worried the dude has leukemia. Get well Tony.

Who else would you have run the team? Sanchez? I think of all the options they had, Sieman was their best option, especially since he has play very well in preseason and Sanchez hadn't. Profootballtalk had some rumors that the Broncos was trying to trade Sanchez but I don't think anyone will take him at this point. They're better off cutting him, and saving that 7th round pick

If they can go 2:2 without him that would be awesome.
Garoppolo looked shaky in his last game, given that he has had a long time to prepare its a bit unnerving to see him not firing on all cylinders. Also with Brady getting older, the Patriots don't seem to have a succession plan in the works. I can't believe Garoppolo is that succession plan. Just look at the 2015 Cowboys who had no solid backup for Romo
