I'd be surprised if they finish the race, given another red flag :(

Half points keeps things alive, but helps Rosberg far more than Hamilton. A restart then would have seen Verstapen all over Rosberg!

Unbelievable stuff from Verstapen. I guess the best anyone could ask for, with it going to the final race. Wouldn't be surprised to see another 1-2 finish with Rosberg taking the title, but who knows....

Crazy race! Verstappen was my driver of the day, what an unbelievable performance.

Hamilton was also excellent and held his nerve. He really has been the best driver this season and it's highly likely he won't be champion, but that's how it goes in racing. He'll certainly be walking away from this season as the guy to beat.

Had to wait for the highlights tonight.
Two drivers stood out a mile today. Hamilton and Vestrapan.
Lewis didn't put a wheel wrong.
But Max was insane with some of those overtakes. Great stuff. It was like his car had rails on at time.
Just a shame Nico didn't get collected. Then we could have seen a real head to head in Abu Dhabi. Instead we will see Lewis going for it with Nico happy to poodle round in second (or even third).

This pretty much sums it up for me. I wish Nico was 4th (or lower) meaning a proper rate in Abu Dhabi, Max should have been 2nd without a doubt the way he drove.

To be honest I think Max might have got the win. But as Lewis wasn't really challenged it was hard to say what he had in reserve.

Season finale in Abu Dhabi.
Lewis has dominated and is on pole, yet Nico will pip him to the championship due to reliability earlier this season.
Expect Lewis to drive off and Nico to be content to settle for 2nd tomorrow.
Would have preferred the Ferraris to get 3rd as they always start strong.
The Red bulls will at least be on a different tyre strategy in the race. Hopefully they can get up amongst the Mercs, but I can't really see that. Not like there will be any rain to spice things up!

In short, that DNF that Lewis had earlier this year might just cost him the championship. To be honest I can't stand Nico, plus am English and want Nico to have a DNF and Lewis to come first, second or third.

Let's do this...

Ps: Massa had an emotional exit two weeks ago. Rather impressive actually. I felt he got a better reception by not finishing versus if he did...

Assuming Nico doesn't take him out at the first corner, Lewis will need to drive a very strategic race and try and bring the Ferarri's and Red Bull's into play. Running away at the front will pretty much hand Rosberg the championship, barring a DNF which is a bit of a long shot.

Just hope we can get a few cars between them and at least make Rosberg fight for it, and not just run around in 2nd for the duration.

If Nico finds himself in a comfortable second, forget about a DNF. He'll be poodling round with the engine set to 75%.
Come on Ferrari and RBR, make him work for it!

I don't like Lewis that much. would rather Nico win...

Hoping Nico crashes out or has a poor start in all honesty. He's exposed himself as a cheat this year and I don't want to see that rewarded. I've defended him quite sternly in the past but really don't like the guy anymore. Hamilton has also embarrassed him for much of the year coming out as the best driver this season. It would be a shame to see Nico get the championship through the back door.

There can be no question as to who is the best driver out of the two of them.
But I think Alonso is the best driver on the grid and Max will become the best. He's certainly the most entertaining at the moment.
Just hoping next years cars are closer in performance.

Well Max has had another outstanding race. Just wish he'd collected Nico on his pass.
Can't see this being anything other than a Merc 1-2 now.
[doublepost=1480258023][/doublepost]Well Lewis tried his best to bring Vettel and Max into it, but to no avail.

But to be honest it wasn't today Lewis lost the Championship. It was back in the U.K. When some plonker got a measurement wrong on some engine component (probably!).
Things might be a bit frosty in the drivers briefing. Especially as he was given the hurry up from the boss. Not really fair.

Great drive from Max though. Last to 4th. A future world champion for sure.

Nico is World Champion !!!! Yippieee !!!!

In his first interview Lewis boss was pretty pissed as he didn't follow clear team orders and also apparently what was discussed in the race pre briefing.

Well done Nico, can't say much more, lucky devil. Awesome drive to end a disappointing season for Lewis but he remained the best driver so at least it's a positive to take into the off season. An enjoyable race
