13" MBP w/ touchbar stock config Space Grey

Ordered within 6 minutes of the store being online and got a delivery sate of 25th-2nd. Delivered to Scotland btw.
Not sure why i seem to have such a late date for an order within the first 10 minutes though!

EDIT: no charge or change of status.

The nice thing about that is that express shipments via UPS all go by air, and UPS processes all those in Louisiana. So I'd suspect you get your laptop early — or at least closer to the 17th. Obviously I'm no crystal ball, but just a guess.
Really? I thought they processed all of them in Kentucky. Do you know where in Louisiana?

At this point, I'm not expecting anything beyond scattered availability until well after the holiday season. Apple made its announcement before production lines were ready, before they even had demo units available for all their retail locations. Most of the production runs this month will go to customers who have already ordered. Because shipping times are currently sitting in early/mid December, that tells me retail stock will trickle out until production catches up. The best bet might be third-parties like Best Buy, who likely have a guaranteed allocation to sell in their stores.
Thanks man. Will Best Buy honour the student discount if i ask them?

Lexington, KY is the correct location. All Apple orders that I can recall that come from Asia go to Alaska then to Kentucky and onwards.

Those who haven't seen a charge may still have been 'charged'. Different banks and credit card processors treat pre-authorizations differently.

Getting quite anxious here. So much speculation, ha! But having this thing by the end of this week would be superb! My new Dell 27" displays came in, too. Funny story, I was on Amazon.com and it was showing "In stock in 3-4 weeks" for the Displays. I was super disappointed and began to look elsewhere, but nobody had them in stock or, if they did, they were at a much higher price than Amazon. So I went back to Amazon, refreshed, and BOOM "two in stock". Someone must've cancelled their order. (Or there was just a bug). SNATCH! But those are here, looking glorious on my Windows PC; and hastily awaiting the day when they can fulfill their true calling; and provide an epic nearly 22 million pixel workflow for Final Cut Pro X. The total resolution of my workflow is about to be higher than the resolution of my DSLR. (He said as a single tear fell from his eye...)

I think the Macbooks will arrive as planned. Only a few will get it on Friday. There are no charged "stock" customers, so they will be shipping by end of the week to be delivered on 15/16/17.

As i remember, delivery on Friday means that some have already P2S. But this is worldwide not the case! So we will get them early next week.
I'm thinking early next week too. Like Monday or Tuesday.

Charged as of yesterday! Ordered a BTO 13" W/ touch bar around 45 min after the keynote ended. In NYC if that matters for pick up in Brooklyn.

Hi guys! My payment processed yesterday (15/512gb/460/2.7ghz/2-3 weeks) and I use the student discount! However, I am not a student, does it mean i successfully skip that checking part?

In the US, they typically don't do student verification for orders placed on the online education store.

Here's something a little fun to pass the time in this thread;

Let's see your empty spaces where your new MacBook Pro is going to go (at least some of the time; it is a notebook after all). Mine is probably going to spend an equal amount of time here and on my bedside table!

Got charged this morning at 4:35AM but still showing as Processing Items. 13" TB 3.1GHz/16GB RAM/256GB. Ordered at about 5:30PM EST on the day of the keynote.

It won't be long now.....

Waiting for this is worse than waiting on line to vote
It's tough to get things done when I'm checking status and this site every few minutes. I'm on the phone now with Apple technical support to see if I can use a TB3 to TB2 adapter and at thunderbolt cable to connect my mid-2013 MBP with my new MBP for data migration. Apple's site says to use gigabit ethernet, but this should work, I think. Well, I got cut off. The person didn't really get what I was saying. Tsk tsk.

Funny how people interpret

"Education pricing is available to university students, students accepted into university, parents buying for university students, and teachers and staff at all levels."

As "for anyone who doesn't fancy paying the correct price."

It's fraud, and it's a middle finger to Apple who are doing this as a goodwill to university students. The discount and the free warranty have already been reduced this year. If this abuse is widespread, don't be surprised to see the discount go entirely. Annoying.
I ranted about this on page 26. Since then, so many people have illegitimately used the education discount.

After its wings were clipped this year, I'd wager the education discount will be gone within a few years because of this.

Exactly.....people who abuse the system will wreck it for the people who legitimately use it and require it.

Same thing happened here in Hong Kong with the 2 week returns......with the iPhone releases people were buying as many as they could (2 per day), then immediately selling to scalpers to take them to the mainland for hugely inflated prices. Was at no risk to them as they could just return it after 2 weeks if they couldn't profit or sell them on.
With the release of the iPhone 7 here the return policy was removed, not just on iPhones but across the board here in HK, which is incredibly frustrating.
