Well, just an fyi to you all, my order status page also removed the gift message option. And this is what an Apple rep said on chat - "Right now, I believe that my shipping team is getting that ready for you right now".

That has usually been the case but there are people now at 48hrs since charges and no shipping or even prepared for shipping for anyone.

I just got off the phone with Apple and they said they cannot change the shipping. It would actually further delay the shipping. The lady stated that because it is a new product, all of them are going to ship in a similar manner. I was told that once my CC is charged, chances are high that it will be shipping within 24 hours.
Is the removal of the gift message option a definite correlation to shipment progress?
Or, m sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn't?
My option has been gone a couple days but my cc has not been charged, so doesn't look like it means much.I've looked at a few threads, and there seems to be no correlation. I may be wrong though

[doublepost=1478668445][/doublepost]Hey guys. Just an update, I've been trying to talk to some of the Apple support reps in the chat to see about early deliveries and things like that, so far this is the best I've got.
Apparently the first batch is slated for an 11th to 17th delivery. Strangely enough, I haven't seen anyone post an 11th delivery, the earliest has been the 15th. They then said that "Personally I think we will but I can not guarantee that" -- which stays true to Apple's typical "underpromise, overdeliver" kind of shipping on new stuff.

Also, there's no way to get shipping expedited. They went on to say, like many other support reps, that it was already shipped the fastest way possible. Sorry for not screenshotting that as well, but I took the screenshot after getting the delivery information and closed it without getting that in there.
do you pay extra 14 dollars?I spoke to a guy from apple and he upgraded me to next day shipping which moved my shipping date up 4 days. He said whenever it ships, lets say it goes out on Monday, you will get it Tuesday.

Good news! For those of you in Canada who have purchased - my credit card JUST got charged minutes ago. I ordered a 15" space grey w/ touch bar, 516GB hard drive, & 4GB ram for those who are wondering. My original delivery dates were Nov 18th to Nov 25th. Status officially on Apple is still 'processing'.
