2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

So in france it is currently 8pm, November 9th. It may be that the embargo is set to be lifted tomorrow, which is very near for france, and they decided to release it a little early. This could mean that we will see many more reviews come out tomorrow morning!

Yes. Authorizations are also valid for 30 days, which would also make sense as to why Apple already authorized a lot of cards.

Same thing here! (almost exactly)

I ordered a maxed out 15" model (but left the storage at 512gb). Card got charged Monday (Nov. 7) but needed to be adjusted and resubmitted but then it went through immediately.

Apple upgraded my shipping to expedited 2-3 day, and my estimated delivery window is Nov. 15 - Nov. 22 (I ordered on October 27th) within minutes of the conference ending.

Can someone please verify that I'm in the first shipping window?

Same setup as yours. I'm off the week of Thanksgiving and my machine has been crashing daily right after I put my order in. Need this thing to get here already!

Also, I'm happy to see they have the french keyboard. Someone said here they were afraid there was a problem with european keyboards and that it was why nothing was happening for us in Europe.

Is it weird that Apple never put a $1 authorization on my card? As soon as I submitted my order for the 15" MBP they authorized my card for the full amount (10/27). Then about 3 days later the charge was dropped. Now on Monday (11/7), they authorized my card again for the full amount.

Just an observation.
 
Big news UK guys! Today I checked my bank account and found Apple still haven't taken my money, and my item is still being processed. Deep joy! Poor UK folks.

This was how things went down for the original iPad release. UK orders didn't get charged until they arrived in the UK, don't know if that eases anyones concerns?

I don't understand why this isn't front page news today, its not like anything else irritating has happened today.

Oh forget you! Read the first four words and got excited only to be let down! Kinda like this waiting period.

I'm even more concerned as I have never seen a single charge on my card. No $1, no full price......

I've ordered mine with the International US keyboard and I'm in the UK. Still nothing here..

This is the hope. Can anyone translate that or give us a gist of their impressions of the notebook? I'm really looking for 15" reviews but I'm curious what they think of the touch bar.

You can turn on closed caption and translation to english on youtube, it's all automated though so it a pretty rough translation. Impressions seemed good overall though, nothing surprising.

They only review the touchbar in the video. They are quite impressed saying it's "neat". They mention 3rd party adoption by adobe and microsft, but say they have to go more in depth to figure out if it's just a gadget or not.
They also like the fact that it's mate but still very bright.
They don't mention anything else (thinness, battery live etc), it's strictly a first impression video about the touchbar.
