Just like the 12 MacBook release, looks like Best Buy will have them in stores before Apple. I need a BTO, so Apple is only choice. Really hope they ship soon. At least go to PFS, come on Apple!!

I'll try to track now. Bestbuy used UPS 2nd day air. I have a UPS mychoice account, so I will see if anything shows.

Yeah, nothing you can do but wait for BTO orders. Bestbuy does not give you an option for that.
They also don't take Apple Store gift card... D'oH!

I need help. I don't know if I should stick to my Apple order (November 15-22) or cancel it and order on Best Buy. I ordered a stock 13" touch bar so I have the option to get an identical computer from the either source.
I worry that bestbuy is promising a date and there is a chance it will actually take much longer. If ordering through Apple quotes a late December date, how can bestbuy claim less than a week?

Those dates are bs. I shouldn't have to wait for a month after ordering, and I certainly shouldn't have to wait for 2-3 weeks from being charged to actually see any movement on their part.
I'm sorry but once that money is out of my account I feel like I have a right to ask what they are doing. Not to mention they gave later dates for anyone who had in store pickup like myself.
I think that happened with Apple Watch 2s. They weren't able to actually deliver on launch date as promised.

Bestbuy will have them 11/16 -- perhaps even earlier. I got the Gold Macbook from them weeks before Apple had any stock so make sure to check their website for availability every morning. Good luck!
Either of these scenarios are possible. I am using the rMB as my basis, and that was at best buy before apple stores or apple preorders.

Do u know how to get the education discount on bestbuy.com? I made an account using my edu email and clicked on deals and the new MacBook shows up but at full price
I think they only do it as a price match. You would probably have to call in to order to get that discount. Hopefully someone else can chime in and confirm that.
01.net is/was quite a big tech media stuff, I doubt they did that without apple consent, if they pulled the youtube vid it's to bring people to their site.
How does that make sense? "Oh you don't like waiting? Well why don't you wait longer?" Not to mention BTO are not sold in stores.
I'm having second thoughts about my choice of space grey. I'm a college student and everyone has a silver MacBook Pro retina. I have also read a couple times that the space grey scratches more easily and is easier to see wear.
As I said I'm a college student, and don't wanna stand out too much either. I just feel like the silver is more classic. I have a space grey iPad Pro as well so I don't know if getting the silver would cause some OCD attacks on my end.
I was in the same boat as you but because I am also a ditherer I ordered both... [silver to arrive later so can cancel it if I love the space grey] The keyboard definitely looks better with the darker colour and I figured the touch bar will also. I have a combination of silver and space grey stuff already plus the black phone so all should work together.
I feel the silver has a more jewel like quality and the space grey is slicker.
Anyway, can't wait for next week - should be here
I did exactly the same thing...lol! My SG delivery window is Nov 28 - Dec 5 and the silver one is not coming until Dec 15 - Dec 21.
