Wow, very interesting on BestBuy....
Mine through apple (stock model, 15" SG) is slated for: Delivers 28 Nov, 2016 - 05 Dec
I'd love to have it before traveling Thanksgiving week. No credit card charges yet. VERY tempting to place a BestBuy order if the 16th date is real...

I just spoke to a best buy chat guy. He guaranteed me the delivery on the 16th as he said it was the release date
the only disclaimer he gave me was that it may be delayed due to weather problems on the flights.
EDIT: He said that best buy cannot match the education discount on these new MacBook pros

So, I got off the phone with my Apple manager whom I talked with last week about the agent modifying my order and stating to me that I wouldn't have my order canceled or order dates moved, and of course that's exactly what happened. Well he stated to me that, he believes the items will be shipped out on or around 11/16 to make sure we're within the delivery window of the 17th-25th. So they were able to move my order date from the new December dates to Nov 17th-25th. I was one of the first cards to be authorized, so lets see if I'm on of the first to receive my new MacBook Pro and let's see when I actually get it! 
Funny, I spoke to chat, and he told me and took 5 mins to confirm that price match is absolutely allowed on the product from Apple's Education store.
He had me wait for 5-10 mins while he confirmed, also.
This is what he said:

VERY interesting. I am in the chat with presumably the same Angelo M and he said "Thank you for this question. Here at Best Buy, we can only price match the actual price of the items from our competitors website. Excluding the promotions, sale, discounts, and free accessories included."
That's what he initially said to me (I asked this on Best Buy yesterday) until I asked him to 100% confirm, then he took 5-10 mins to confirm for me and told me that it actually can be price matched.
Had the same issue at first. But I decided I would stick with Silver. Darker Apple devices tend to show scuffs/scratches and smudges easier - Owned many. If that doesn't bother you then it doesn't really matter. Also something about there no longer being a space grey iPhone really bugs me with their colour inconsistency. I would have preferred they released a matte black, if they wanted to go dark.
Exactly, but never had that many problems with my SG ipad or previous SG iphones, but you are right. All the silver macbooks I have had before wear really well.
It was time for a change I think for me - I have had all the Apple products you can imagine except the Mac pro.
A matt black macbookpro would have been insane although lots of smudges as I notice on my phone - way worse than Space grey for that.
Anyway, here anytime soon. CC charged, and just waiting for it to be shipped.
Got an email today from Apple saying 'shipped' and got all excited to see it was actually a book my girlfriend had ordered.........
How are you all seeing those dates at Best Buy? I went out and it doesn't show any estimated ship dates.
I am currently in a chat with Angelo M and he told me this regarding the 11/16 delivery dates: "Upon checking here further, I found out we will be starting to deliver the new MAcBook Pro models might be next week, since we are still waiting for the confirmation from the Apple corporation to release the item nationwide. At this moment, the estimated delivery date will be this coming November 11, 2016."
And then went on to say: "Basically, we are currently waiting for the confirmation from the Apple to release the item. Since at this moment Apple haven't provided us the confirmation to release the models and start to ship the items.
According to rumors, Apple will release the item this coming November 11, 2016.
And our current estimated shipping times are as follows: Standard shipping is 4-8 business days, expedited shipping is 3 business days, and express shipping is 1 business day."

Seeing the same on BB now... Says "We'll notify you as soon as we ship it."
Not sure if they sold through their guaranteed initial quantity, or if it was just a timing thing in updating their side...
Either I missed an opportunity to get mine sooner, or dodged a bullet by potentially causing myself a bigger delay...

It looks like the 13" base touch is the only one showing availablity for delivery on 11/16. The 15" and any BTO of either size don't have any set shipping date.
So apparently, if you ordered on the 27th (28th in Aus), you are supposed to have been billed and shipment will begin? I ordered before 8am on the 28th (local Aus time, approx 4 hours after the event) yet my card has not been debited yet! The store still says in Processing with a delivery date of 16th to 23rd...

Nov. 18 - 24 delivery date in Canada.

Ordered a base 15" in Space Gray through Best Buy and my delivery date is 11/15. Much better than my Apple order of Nov 25-Dec 2! Probably going to keep the Apple one until I start to see movement on the BB order, just in case!
My order from BB shows a 11/15 date, I bet Apple has them even sooner. I wonder if there's a tool for checking store stock like they have for iPhones? That enabled me to walk in on the Monday after launch and grab a 7 Plus, weeks before my online pre-order shipped.
Apple may have them a day earlier but the Best Buy site says 'released' 16th, so you know Apple....

Site said 16th when ordering but my confirmation says 15th!
From Apple, I ordered on 10/30 and had a 11/25-12/2 delivery date. Just ordered from BB an hour ago (thanks to postings on here letting people know!) and have a 11/15 delivery date (in Seattle).
