I had to wait a day to order mine too. I had a Barclay card and called them on release day to see if they had any promos for me and they said they did and they put 0% for 18 months on my card but I had to wait 24 hours to order. But it is done and can't wait to get it and I love using their money for 18 months! :)

I could've ordered yesterday since I got approved, but I just couldn't make my mind up with which config to go with lol.

Should I be worried that my order hasn't gone past processing yet? I ordered (13" BASE Non Touch Bar No Config) minutes after it was available..

I sat refreshing the page as soon as the keynote finished, specced up a 15inch then laughed at the price and closed the browser. Went back 90mins later and pulled the trigger

15-Inch Space Grey
2.6Ghz i7
Radeon Pro 460 with 4GB (this was the hardest choice, as I couldn't find any info about the GPUs)
512GB SSD

Ships 25 Nov to 2 Dec to UK, looks like my hesitation might have cost me a week of waiting.

£2709, with another £25 for a cable to charge iPhone - was about £500 more than I was willing to spend, but turns out I have very little self control when it comes to these things. :apple:

Edit: Currently showing as processing

Ring Apple....mine is exactly the same....still as "we received your order".....no confirmation e-mail.

I rang Apple on Friday, said there was some error in the system and it should be resolved in 1-2 days....have to wait until Monday to ring back though (Hong Kong and they only have their lines open Mon-Fri)....said my order was visible on one of their systems, but not the other.
They did assure me everything was ok though....but i would ring to double check.

Part of the order is a USB C to A adaptor which is mean to be delivered on Wednesday, so I'm hoping that dispatch of that item will trigger it to shift along.

When do you think we'll see some in store? I won't be ordering until towards the end of November due to finicial reason. Shipping here in AU/NZ is now at 4 - 5 weeks which is about when I'll be ordering. Do you think I'll still face a 4 - 5 week wait then or perhaps be able to pick one up in store. I'd imagine they'd want to have plenty supply for the Christmas season

Over the next week or two they should start getting in display units. Which model are you trying to get? Barring any production issues, I think the Space Gray 13 and 15s will be hardest to get followed by the base silver 13 and 15.

This computer feels kind of slower at 2.0ghz compared to my MacBook Pro with 2.6ghz.
[doublepost=1477696485][/doublepost]I can confirm that the 3 pounds from 3.5 pounds doesn't feel any different to me.
The screen makes me have to squint at the brightest it looks really bright.
[doublepost=1477696756][/doublepost]Currently am doing a geekbench test.
[doublepost=1477696959][/doublepost]View attachment 668834
Here is the geek bench for the MacBook Pro 2.0ghz, 256gb ssd, 8gb ram version no touch bar.

Detroitborg on youtube posted benchmark results with 3783 single-core and 7297 multi-core. Can't link video now as work blocks youtube. How can there be such a difference for the same chip?

If you go onto the geek bench website, there are discrepancies between every test as the results would vary based on other conditions such as CPU usage at the time and thermal throttling if any. The benchmarks are merely a guidance in what you can expect and every experience would vary based on usage. I for one concluded that the base model will be enough so went for that one. :)

Yeah I know they are going to vary somewhat, but those 2 results are miles apart! IDK just seems odd. I guess we need to see a few more results before we can get an average across the board.

@satcomer Apple already do one, it came up as a £25 option when i bought the MBP. I'm sure cheaper alternatives will be out soon, but needed one

And I'm back to a full circle by cancelling all my orders and holding out for gen. 2, sticking to a mid 2015 15", i was crazy for a second swapping that for a significantly underpowered 13". Good luck to everyone else and have fun with your new MacBooks!

Attention Germany buyers - when you order from https://www.mactrade.de/spare-200-1610 (they have all BTO options) you can get a discount of 100 Euros using MTSPECIAL-MBP16 as gift code.

I just bought the 13 inch

3,1 GHz i5
16 GB Ram
256SSD

for 2250.

Best deal i could find anywhere. They also offer 30 up to 30 months of 0% payment plan. If you select 10 months payment you can get 150 Euros discount.

I'm late to this shindig. Anyone with a 15" get past processing?

If I remember during the keynote they said that 15" MacBook Pros would not ship for 2 - 3 weeks so I would guess in the next week or 2 you will see a change as it gets packaged for delivery. I have to wait 3 -4 weeks.

Ordered a maxed-out 15". I'm 70, this may be the last computer I buy (bought my first one in 1971, a DEC PDP-8I with 4K of memory - one four-millionth the memory of my new rig).

I've been involved with computers, designing and programming them, for over half a century, and I still have a sense of wonder about the progress of this technology. I worked for Steve Jobs for a while at NeXT, then worked at Apple for a few years. At Apple, I had access to the Cray supercomputer they used to simulate new PowerPC designs, and to design injection molds for a Mac chassis. I'd have to dig up the specs on that Cray, but off the top of my head, my $4,299 MacBook Pro is somewhere between 100 and 1000 times as powerful as that multi-million-dollar Cray.

Every day is the future. I love it.
[doublepost=1477720157][/doublepost]Further to my last post:

One reason I ordered a maxed-out configuration is that I currently have a last-generation 15" MacBook Pro with a one TB SSD, and it's almost full. Since the two TB is ridiculously expensive, I thought I might as well go full up on the rest of the options.

I loved reading your post @MacPioneer. Your skills helped lead to the incredible machines we are using today. Thank you!

Enjoy your maxed out machine! I'm certainly excited for mine. (ordering it soon)

Ordered the base 15" model in space grey for 2249. Really regret not getting the 460 and probably would have gotten the 512 too. But decided to save the money and build a hackintosh desktop for the heavy duty stuff.

I'm having trouble filling my 128gb hd from my 2012 air anyways... god I can't wait til I don't have a broken screen...

I'm just really pissed I can't use my iPhone 7 headphones. I don't even have other headphones. Fml.

That is lame. Not sure.
