2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

This is very common. They sometimes do not provide tracking until it ships from a US (or your countries) location. It is possible they will be overnighted, like iPhones, and shipping emails will not be received until early AM on the day they will be delivered.

Really....if you have a estimated delivery date from Apple, then expect it to be a few days before then, it doesn't matter when they charge you, it's when they let you know its been sent with the tracking details that matter.

Apple has given me a delivery date of 15th to the 22th November... guess what, I'm expecting to to be between those dates it gets delivered......

It's just a damm laptop, go and play with your current Macbook Pro until it arrives.

At first I didn't care too much about it but seeing everyone and their mother get charged starts to worry me. Apple hasn't let me down in regards to shipping yet so I highly doubt they'll start now.

I know it's just a laptop but it I think my reaction is warranted. However, you're absolutely right I'm just gonna go do other things for a few days lol.

It's fairly late in the process now and you're asking for basically a whole different machine than the one you ordered. You can always try!

But let's say it IS delayed if you change it. In my mind, I'd do it anyway. You're going to have this computer for a long time, so you want to make absolutely sure you have the one you want and need. If you keep the lesser model just so you can get it a few weeks earlier, you're going to look back on that decision with regret.
 
Finally! Charge is pending now (just hit my card this morning)! They billed the laptop separately from the Apple Care which seems weird. Ordered maxed out 15", and received the confirmation email at 1:40 pm (CST) 10/27.

I have a whole month until mine delivers, I don't think it'd be too late for them to change it. Anyways, I'm going to sleep now and probably ask them through chat in the morning

They'll need to ship tomorrow then really to hit that, unless they're shipping from a European warehouse (which I have my doubts about) My last rMBP tracked from China - but that was 2013 so who knows.

I dunno how he got that, I ordered as soon as the store opened and I got 17th - 24th :(

I haven't had any charges yet either. My theory is that because they are standard and not built or order that they will be at a distribution centre and charge and ship later. As with my iPhone 7, it charged and then dispatched a day before delivery.

Ping! I was charged sometime in the last 8 hours. (Card website doesn't show time, only date.)

I have an external 4TB drive and my setup at home. Plus Im always connecting to other computers using teamviewer so i dont really need much on a laptop.
