Seems that if you live outside of North America, Apple will 'get to your order when they can'... As it is now after 7pm Friday here, I doubt I'll see any change before Monday at the earliest... So I also doubt that I'll see my 15" BTO (Base 15 with 512 SSD) before Friday next week.

I'm still waiting for any change today as I live in Europe. But I made a mistake and ordered 28/10.

UK PEOPLE!

Anyone got any movement? I ordered as soon as they went up on the Apple Store after the keynote (pretty sure one of the first orders) for the maxed out (1TB SSD tho) 15". I've got a 2-3 shipment estimate and 17-24 delivery window.

PayPal Credit is my method of payment and I've got the charge pending since my order got into processing items phase.

Anyone got anything? So far it seems like only North American orders are moving
No my 13" stock ETA was 24-1st Dec however I'm not expecting any movement until at least next week.

Was on the tube last night when I started seeing peoples status on here going PFS. Checked after the gig in Camden, nope, nothing to see here.

Still, at least movement is happening, not for us European folks *yet* though. Hopefully some of the US guys will get tracking numbers and will be able to tell where their items are actually shipping from.

In that case, I think you'll have access to the stock models at other stores before you get yours. I would still say wait unless it's urgent; I imagine you're keeping this machine for a while so why not get what you want?

Hopefully they will start to collect MBP's for people outside US today, so some in EU and/or Asia will see a P4S status change. Hopefully. A discrepancy of two full days between US and the rest of the world for P4S would be mildly annoying, IMHO.

I'm hoping that the European MBP's are already shipped to the Europe warehouses and we'll get the status update when it's shipped from there.

Guys,

Again, I ask...

When an order gets to the "preparing for shipment" process, usually how long until actual ship with tracking?

Thanks

I was at the Apple Store today getting my iPhone 7 Plus replaced and the person said they got a very large shipment in today. She did not know what was in the boxes, but she said they only see these large shipments on product launches.
Hi

Just check the main Apple Store in Glasgow and the non touch bar is available for pickup today. So guess it was the these ones that got delivered

Just wanna say this: if the base MBP no touchbar read "ships today" at the keynote and was available in stores a couple of days after that, why shouldn't it be the same for the TB version? If BB gets it shipped on the 16th, why did some report an Apple Store instore availability of mid-December or even January?

Because the supply is lower and the demand is higher for the Touch Bar ones.

Best Buy and other retailers may have stock because they have various contracts with Apple. Everyone seems to think that if Apple doesn't have them, no stores will. This isn't the case.

Best Buy had/will have an allocation and they sold through that.

Any theories why thers no movement in europe?
Different keyboard layout might be one of the reasons. But as far as I know Apple always tries to deliver on the first date of the date rage, sometimes it's a day earlier, but usually it's on the first date of the range.

Worth a try! :) - For what it's worth i'm in the UK and....View attachment 671510

So I feel your pain! :)
It's so annoying. The only saving grace could be that they are being stockpiled locally ready for next-day shipping.

The problem is this has *never* happened for BTO models.

I've resigned myself to the fact that Apple has just prioritised America again (without telling anyone) and they will get theirs on Monday while we get ours closer to the 24th. And pay more for the privilege...

I hope I'm proved wrong.

Mine has the US keyboard layout.

Hey all, very long time lurker of the Waiting for Skylake thread and now this one!

Not happy that I ordered a base 15" as soon as possible after the shop opened (I'm in the UK btw) but been given the 3-4 weeks (24th - 1st) seemingly longer than any BTO builds as a mate ordered his after and got 17th - 24th :(

I've ordered mine with the US keyboard though. Still processing here :/ 17th to 24th.

No one can tell you how long it will take.

I have had orders where it was only in preparing status for a few hours. I've also had orders where it was in preparing status for almost a week.

My god it's been four or five days since they put an authorization hold and nothing happened so far... Even if telling me it's going to be a bit late is fine, just stop this waiting and guessing game already Apple!

For us U.K. Orders...

I agree that I hope the reason nothing has happened is because they are already in the U.K. I think that the variations on the BTO models aren't that massive so they probably made/planned them in preparation (hence why they showed 2-3 weeks since the start).

Of course it is totally possible to get from China to the UK in 4 days. So it may just be they move on the weekend.

i made the order when the site became available again on 27th and i have the range 17-24 nov. still processing....

maybe it is because i'm in spain or it is not a stock MBP13 model (i upgraded to 16gb)

can't wait... :(
