2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

Considering 13" MBP (for my main computer). Upgrading from 2014 model MBPr. Keep the same processor- i7. There's only $100 between the two models I want.

Looking at two pricey, even for Apple BTO (I guess) alternatives:
  • MBP 13- i7, 3.3GHz 4Core, 16GB RAM, 512GB, Intel Iris Graphics (no upgrade option) OR
  • MBP15- i7, 2.6GHz 4 core, 16GB RAM, 512GB, Radeon Graphics 2GB

The 15" will be MUCH faster. GHz only tell part of the story. The i7 in the 13" is a dual core CPU. The 15" will give you a quad core that's much faster, plus a much faster GPU.

The 13" is a perfect form factor, IMHO. But the performance increase for the 15" is pretty significant.

Sure, although pending transactions only ever appear on mobile banking, not desktop, so there's not much to see (price includes some dongles + education discount):

Thanks dude! Hopefully this is a good sign! I ordered on my Sainsbury's card and they don't even have a mobile app, joke!
 
Still debating where to place my order, was initially planning to just hope for local stock at a nearby BestBuy. However, I'm gathering BestBuy will not stock any 16gb configs of the 13" Toucbar, is that correct?

from what i've read here you wont have any luck finding one of these configurations in a reseller store. As somebody wrote here yesterday, reseller stores (and apple stores) only offer the stock models of 13" and 15" and MAYBE the maxed out versions of the two models. everything else is build to order and therefore most likely not available for purchase in stores.

Thanks for confirming, now it will make it really hard to wait if a 8gb config pops up in a nearby bestbuy!
 
My order status still says Preparing for Shipment. However the authorization/pending charge on my bank account has disappeared, which first appeared Monday morning at 4:53 am. BTO 15" Oct. 27th US order.

Yea same thing my charge is now back in.
 
I ordered a 13" BTO maxed out (16GB/1TB/i7) within about an hour of the keynote end for in-store pickup. As of right now my order is preparing for shipment, but my card has not been charged.

EDIT: checked again and the credit card WAS charged. Woo hoo!

One poster on a Dutch forum just had his CC charged today for a BTO 13"
For me still nothing at this moment :-( no charge, no change in status
AAAAAAARGH ...

16-23 november, so I really hope to receive it wednesday
 
Maybe they are not done yet with collecting enough MBP's to do a big air freight out to US, so you guys might see more P4S today before everybody lucky enough (in the US) to get a Shipping status. What I'm saying is that those who got P4S yesterday might not get it faster than those who get it today. They might still be in the collecting-enough-to-ship-big-phase.

Now, as for us in Europe and Asia... Tumbleweed, just tumbleweed....

Still processing here with a 15" BTO ordered a couple hours after the keynote.
