2016 Macbook Pro, Order/Shipping Thread

Any Canadians get a shipping status?

My 13" stock base model is PFS since yesterday. The full amount was put on hold on my credit card as well.
Ordered within minutes of keynote ending - located in Montreal QC.

Estimated delivery is between Nov 15-21. Looks like it'll be the 16th though since that's when Apple is actually going to release the MBP. So it'll probably ship Monday/Tuesday.

Yah my 15 has been on hold for a few days. Was just curious if anyones actually hanged to "shipped"

I pre-ordered a 13 inch MBP early on October 28 (like 3am or something) and used the barclaycard financing. I never once thought that I would be ineligible for the special financing (18 months no interest) because of my order not processing in the first 30 days, but that may just be the case.

As of now it still says my shipment will arrive december 6-12. Even if its a week early, it still won't post within the 30 days, which means I SO can't afford it. I was banking on the 18 months and my student loans that post within that time.

Right now the plan is to wait until day 29 and call Barclaycard and Apple. I called both previously, but neither helped. Apple said theres a chance it will post earlier and Barclaycard said they cannot guarantee the differed interest rate, but could review my account after the fact if I ask them to and maybe they can do something... very vague.

Any suggestions?

2.) Log in to your credit card lender(s) website or call to see if you have balance transfer offers available to you. The APR will be 0%, however you will have to pay a fee in the neighborhood of 3%. You can write a check to yourself and deposit it into your checking account and use your debit card to purchase or use your credit card from another lender and pay it off using the check deposited into your checking account.

3.) Apply for a new credit card. Many lenders offer an introductory offer upon approval.

By the way, Barclays has strict underwriting criteria and avoid borrowers with too many new accounts or high credit utilization. Capital One may be a better option.

You have misunderstood my point of view.

This has been a highly depressing pre-order thread to be a part of. I can't remember such unnecessary vitriol in a pre-order thread. It's pathetic.

Apple doesn't need people like you defend them, and I don't need your sarcasm for expressing a point of view.

Maybe it was the election that did it and a lot of people are on edge this week.

But this thread has been dominated by novice members sparking arguments for no reason at all.

Everyone chillax and remember that difference of opinion are is reason to become aggressive and sarcastic.

Well, I ordered mine as quickly as the system would accept my order (which was probably about 30 minutes, frankly, because of the website being flaky and kicking me off a couple of times). I'm still listed as "preparing". It's just the nature of the beast. You'll get yours, I'll get mine. It'll happen.

Don't worry, Apple is spending more money to pay someone to refund all those charges. They will eat those 2% processing fees for you too.

As they should, after all it was Apple that allowed for the worthless shipping upgrade

Could be, will have to watch tracking to see if it goes to Shenzhen first. However, that flight continues on to Ontario, California which would be fine and onto Kentucky sometime after that. That would shave a day and meet the 14th date.

If on that flight it leaves at 3:30am Sunday in China which would be 11:30AM PST today or 2:30PM EST. So lots more time for more people to get shipping notices like myself who expect to be on the first batch.

And I do recall at least one of my preorders going that route in the past.

But it seems the people with a ship notice have it leaving Shanghai.... Even with 2 day air, I thought I read UPS is still showing the 16th as the delivery day. Hmm..

Mine still says processing with eta of 16th to 23rd Nov. Got my order in literally a couple of mins after the keynote finished. Any other Aussies got a "preparing for shipment" or "shipped" notification? Ordered a maxed out 15" (albeit with the 500gb hd)

From previous product release, the U.K. Status change late in the process cause they ship the items from Europe and not China , hence we get our shipment info way late .

so.. you think our mbp are going to ship later because in the US ships from china and in Europe they are shipping from china to an apple hub and then they deliver to us? then the process should not take long.. maybe Monday we get p4s/shipped and we get our new MBP by Wednesday/Thursday

That sucks to be left hanging. I'm definitely thinking the 16th seems like a likely day for delivery to everyone in first batch, and the stores. Hopefully you'll see a charge within the next 48 hrs and a ship note within the following 24 hrs

In Europe we have longer delivery periods than USA.. I ordered on the 28th a stock 15-inch rMBP, and my delivery is planned between the 25th Nov and the 2nd Dec

I hope you're right but I have never had a BTO model ship from anywhere in Europe.

My mid-2010 mbp bto came from china and it took 1 week to come home after shipping... I hope they have improved they logistic system from that date..

There is a UPS flight leaving Shanghai to Anchorage in a little less then two hours. I think those shipped by Monday delivery will be on that flight, guess we will know in a couple of hours if there is a departure scan.
