Ah I see. That makes sense. No touchbar models have gone to preparing for shipment. All the ones that are being shipped/delivered are non-touchbar.

How do you know?! Where/when did you order?
I'm not sure if the shipping estimates will be different, but if you are buying a base model with no upgrades, B&H Photo/Video (www.bhphotovideo.com) doesn't charge tax for items shipping outside NY state. I use them all the time for electronics and it's a real standup company.
yes and no

15 inch has slipped to 4-5 weeks now which matches with the 13 inch.
Mine arrives here tommorow!
Wholy fxxx that will feel like getting out of a 1988 Honda Civic and sitting in a Tesla for the first time!Long time lurker, but after waiting for quite a while this new update had everything I've been looking for (plus my old MacBook Pro is on its very last legs haha)
Old:
2007 15-inch MacBook Pro
- 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
- 2GB 667MHz memory
- 120GB SATA 5400rpm
- NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 128MB memory
New:
2016 15-inch MacBook Pro - Space Gray
If I look at these computers as nearly decade long investments, they actually end up being relatively cheep.
- 2.9GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 3.8GHz
- 16GB 2133MHz memory
- 1TB PCIe-based SSD
- Radeon Pro 460 with 4GB memory

Nice work!
May I suggest people quote Scissor's message every page or so? That way, new people popping up may see his message.
You are going to be soooooo happy when you get that babyI ended up replacing with a very cheap PC laptop
Just waiting to hear that someone's been charged/is shipping. Once that happens we should all get them. Especially if you live in a major city like I do. I just hope in store pickup doesn't make it take longer for some reason, bc as of now it says the 25th compared to the 17th for most
I almost did this... almost.Funny how people interpret
"Education pricing is available to university students, students accepted into university, parents buying for university students, and teachers and staff at all levels."
As "for anyone who doesn't fancy paying the correct price."
It's fraud, and it's a middle finger to Apple who are doing this as a goodwill to university students. The discount and the free warranty have already been reduced this year. If this abuse is widespread, don't be surprised to see the discount go entirely. Annoying.
