Whatever possessed you to inflict that monstrosity of a return key on your Mac?![]()
When is your estimated delivery?Me too with economy. And I'm northeast too (NYC)
No we didn't, which is my point. We both had different delivery windows. I got my phone a couple of days before the earliest date in the delivery window and he got his 3 weeks before the earliest date in the delivery window. So is that fair? You didn't have the same estimated delivery slots though, did you! We have.
Here's a side by side comparison with the old MacBook Pro (2012 retina)
If the others in his delivery window also got theirs three weeks early, yes.No we didn't, which is my point. We both had different delivery windows. I live in the US but I ordered the UK layout keyboard.I live in the UK but i ordered the US layout keyboard![]()
Mine is shipped. So I agree. I don't think it's the keyboard that caused the delays in EU.Another thought in response to a claim made on another site about the European delays being due to our different keyboard requirements in the EU (which involve an ISO-style return key and thus different machining):
- Orders in Australia and parts of Asia are preparing for shipment; they have different keyboards too.
- The two models on display in Regent Street (behind glass) feature UK keyboard layouts, and a little birdie has confirmed to me that these are production models made in China (rather than prototypes made in Cupertino/Austin/Cork, Ireland/Cambridge, UK), and so ISO keyboard tooling has been in place since before October 27.
Insanely fast. What size drive are you running?OK. I am not sure what benchmarks people want. I downloaded one from the App Store for the SSD, blackMagic.
The test doesn't seem to end for me, just keeps cycling. But here's what it is showing on the screen.
It pretty much goes to the max 2000 and then falls down a little bit... I assume that's good.

But he and I ordered 3 minutes after the store went live and other people who did their order at the same time, had a much earlier delivery window.
Same. It's gonna be a close one tho. I mentioned previously that I will be gone Friday noon cuz I have a trip to London and won't be back till like 1 week after thanksgiving. So I REALLY need the computer on Thursday. Now looking at it that I'm not even on FX90 makes me all kinds of nervous.Thurs before 4:30p. Hbu?
That might be it. But again who knows what's up with Apple and the choices they make...Seems like Northeast is FedEx? I can't really tell though.
Mind if I join you? Granted, I'm a Yank, but if the beer is good...Let's go to the Winchester and wait for this to blow over.
but do you know what's the point of moving my order from shanghai China to Osaka Japan because I have seen mostly people from US itself getting orders from china onlyAlong with a few more cases here and there where US shipments seemingly were bumped WAY up and EU shipments are AWOL.
I'm not really a stakeholder in this debate since I long cancelled my order, but I sure understand why EU peeps would be unhappy with Apple.
My departure scan was 9:01PM and export was many hours before that. So unlikely you are on that flight. Maybe there is another flight that we don't know about later today, otherwise....
They don't seem to show the next flights till much closer to when it is scheduled. But expect the same two flights 105 and 81 to go tomorrow and every day this week except Sunday. The only difference is 81 will go to Japan on Sat and no 105 on Sat. Maybe there will be another random UPS85 but that one is only every so often. Maybe some other airline tracking sites have more of the scheduled flight listed.

Whats your estimated arrival? In central NJ, but I've got UPS.
Mind if I join you? Granted, I'm a Yank, but if the beer is good...
Me too. I really hope so. Why on earth were we not on this morning's plane?I'm located in Virginia and am on FedEx as well. Perhaps it's the East Coast in general? My tracking info is the same as you guys'. 12:13 am at local facility in Shanghai. ETA Thursday by 8 pm. I'm hoping it arrives Wednesday though. If it makes the flight later today it will be in TN early tomorrow. Surely they can get them out for delivery by Wednesday?
