Just got off the phone with CS (Germany) and it seems that BTOs are coming from China...when exactly that happens he couldnt say, but as long as credit cards are charged/authorized, the MBPs will be built and shipped. He also couldnt say whether or not they are sent out in batches or not..

So basically a whole lot of nothing :( Even if they send them out today or tomorrow, there is no way that they get to Europe in time, so why even bother with dates like 15th or 16th for Europe?
Hopefully the stock models will come from one of the EU warehouses..

For me, it's not really about 'people receiving their orders before me' or the geography of it.

What has disappointed me is, like I mentioned in my earlier post, the disappointment with Apple I now feel. Let's face it, Apple charge a HUGE premium and we all know the product itself is not worth the thousands it sells for. I'm not just paying for the MacBook, I'm paying for the research and development, the reliability and the 'Apple' experience.

Every time I've ordered from Apple in the past I've not only had a great product, I've felt great about it (and Apple). This time around I can't help but feel they have messed up.

I don't care who they ship with; whether it's UPS, FedEx or carrier pigeon. As far as I'm concerned I have given 'Apple' a very large amount of money, for a product I haven't seen yet, that only they have told me will be brilliant. I did that because my past purchases and experience had been great so that built my trust. Now, I have clearly seen online that many other people are receiving their orders today, way ahead of schedule and Apple haven't even bothered to give me a simple update. I'm sorry but that is wrong, this isn't a small mediocre purchase from a struggling company.

At the very least, an update from Apple could've helped. I just feel Apple have gone about this the wrong way. Let's hope if/ when my computer does arrive, it'll be as great as they promised and make up for this cock up.

Your argument is fair. Hopefully all of you from Europe get yours soon!

Looks like Apple put air intake vents on the bottom.

Ikr?!?! Why didn't they put us on FX90???:mad::mad::mad::mad:
The ONLY thing i can think of is sometimes the FedEx tracking will Load in a bunch of info like 24 hours after the fact. So maybe it was but hasn't loaded in? Also, why on earth has it been 2 days since the wknd there and they can't get our comps out?

Delivered!! Hope everyone's arrive soon! Will keep being in this thread, becoming a habit :D

That's one thing I will miss, I (like many others, I'm sure) have been stalking this site and forum for the last 12 - 18 months. I'm not quite sure what I'll move on to when it arrives...

Same. It's gonna be a close one tho. I mentioned previously that I will be gone Friday noon cuz I have a trip to London and won't be back till like 1 week after thanksgiving. So I REALLY need the computer on Thursday. Now looking at it that I'm not even on FX90 makes me all kinds of nervous.
They better put me on FX72 or I'm gonna lose my s**t. Also praying that customs won't be an a**hole.

That might be it. But again who knows what's up with Apple and the choices they make...
Hoping FX72 as well, otherwise it seems like FX96 is the next flight in 20 hours from now

Are you beyond the delivery window that Apple offered you yet? Are you looking for an update to inform you that nothing has changed yet? I am not trying to be argumentative, I simply want to know. Your post indicates you are disappointed in the experience and that you have not had an update and that in the past you have had a better Apple experience. In the past did you get updates before it shipped, even though you weren't at or beyond your delivery window? I understand your frustration and you shouldn't have feel this way about a product you are paying such a premium for. Have you considered canceling and proving Apple feedback as to why you did?

Here's unique valley results. I have no idea what it means. This is the maxed out video card. I'm guessing this is not a good score.

Lol mine is shipping tomorrow to Piscataway NJ and here is the delivery status
Acc to Apple it was supposed to be ( 7-15 DEC ) but it's being delivered 1 month before :D
I'm in the same boat. I only placed my order this past Thursday afternoon. I have a tracking number already! 15" stock for me.

what is your gpu? 460? do you mind doing a test?
Yes it's the 460. I plan on running benchmarks on both my new MBP and my old 2008 unibody to compare. I'll post results after I'm done migrating my data.

Edit: regretting not getting an Ethernet to USB-c adapter. Migration assistant has been on "preparing" for almost 10 minutes now.

The actual score isn't really important except for comparison. If you're not a gamer: most console games run at 30 FPS and many PC gamers demand 60. Anything less than 30 is a poor experience. So hopefully that gives you some idea.

Along with a few more cases here and there where US shipments seemingly were bumped WAY up and EU shipments are AWOL.

I'm not really a stakeholder in this debate since I long cancelled my order, but I sure understand why EU peeps would be unhappy with Apple.

feel for the guy a bit :p it's not even about meeting the shipment date earlier but more than there are seeming cases where other shipments were bumped up due to their geographic location. And before someone cites logistic companies Apple has obviously gone beyond the call of duty to transport as many shipments to Stateside so yeah... there IS an odd geographic favouritism but I don't know what
