So do we have a good idea yet as to if Apple moving your shipping method to 2-3 days delayed orders? It obviously isn't making a difference in the actual shipping speed once it's shipped. I just mean a delay in orders actually getting shipped. Some people said Apple told them it would.

but do you know what's the point of moving my order from shanghai China to Osaka Japan because I have seen mostly people from US itself getting orders from china only
probably this.
UPS67 MD11 Kansai Int'l (KIX / RJBB) Anchorage Intl (PANC) Mon 23:28 JST Mon 11:55 AKST

EDIT:

having actually posted this, it does seem as if Apple is really trying to move mountains by moving as many shipments to the US as possible. Since you're right, usually they ship directly from Shanghai, and yet they're actually moving stock to Japan to put them on a flight to the US.

For those thinking weather issues, https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/china/shanghai/historic
nothing out of the norms to warrant such a move. neither were there any issues at the airport
https://uk.flightaware.com/live/cancelled/yesterday
no delays or cancellations for UPS reported from Shanghai.

Finally!

I'll be migrating my data over from my 2008 unibody. When that's done I'm going to run geekbench and GPU benchmarks for comparisons.

This release reminds me of the launch of the first Apple Watch. People started sharing what time they received the email from the Apple Store as a way to try to figure out if someone received theirs bore they should've. IMO the real problem is the delivery window. 7 or more days is absurd and most just expect it to arrive at or before the first day of the window anyways. Apple should go back to using a single date "receive by 11/16/16" for example.
That situation was due to their inability to accurately predict yield rates of Apple Watches and they had backed themselves into a corner, saying that it would be released "Early 2015" - April 24 was the very, very latest they could have launched to meet that promise.

This time they don't have that excuse.

As someone who did, I strongly believe that it delayed my order.

Hi guys, I need help, my macbook pro 15 is supposed to deliver today (Columbus, Ohio) but why there is no "out for delivery" scan? Can I get it today tho?

Maybe there is a second round of deliveries in the afternoon? If UPS is showing that it will deliver today, you probably have a pretty good shot at seeing it.

Hey Ankii, did you have Apple prioritize your order? If so - did the shipping date ever change inside your apple order status? And how long did it take from the day they accepted your request to the day the order shipped?

For me, it's not really about 'people receiving their orders before me' or the geography of it.

What has disappointed me is, like I mentioned in my earlier post, the disappointment with Apple I now feel. Let's face it, Apple charge a HUGE premium and we all know the product itself is not worth the thousands it sells for. I'm not just paying for the MacBook, I'm paying for the research and development, the reliability and the 'Apple' experience.

Every time I've ordered from Apple in the past I've not only had a great product, I've felt great about it (and Apple). This time around I can't help but feel they have messed up.

I don't care who they ship with; whether it's UPS, FedEx or carrier pigeon. As far as I'm concerned I have given 'Apple' a very large amount of money, for a product I haven't seen yet, that only they have told me will be brilliant. I did that because my past purchases and experience had been great so that built my trust. Now, I have clearly seen online that many other people are receiving their orders today, way ahead of schedule and Apple haven't even bothered to give me a simple update. I'm sorry but that is wrong, this isn't a small mediocre purchase from a struggling company.

At the very least, an update from Apple could've helped. I just feel Apple have gone about this the wrong way. Let's hope if/ when my computer does arrive, it'll be as great as they promised and make up for this cock up.

Any one ordered on Amazon got their order status updated?
I ordered 13-inch, with touch bar, 512GB
Order status: Not yet shipped
Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date.
I ordered the 15-inch with touch bar, high end stock from Amazon, and it hasn't shipped either.

No I didn't pay anything nor I prioritized my order. The Apple website still shows 7th to 15th December I ordered my laptop on 29th October and even requested a change in my order on November 2nd (450 to 460 GPU)

My specs are 15 inch with touchbar
Maxed out CPU and GPU with 256 SSD and AppleCare

Just got off the phone with CS (Germany) and it seems that BTOs are coming from China...when exactly that happens he couldnt say, but as long as credit cards are charged/authorized, the MBPs will be built and shipped. He also couldnt say whether or not they are sent out in batches or not..

So basically a whole lot of nothing :( Even if they send them out today or tomorrow, there is no way that they get to Europe in time, so why even bother with dates like 15th or 16th for Europe?

I bought a fresh new genuine extension cable (from eBay) for £4.

now, if only that laptop would ship so I can plug all my shiny new cables into it....
