Pfft. I've gone 8 months without a Mac :(

Yeah, me too. Me' ol' MBP 17" 2008 died in February, I think, so I have been working on a Windows desktop. Things have been good, but I'm soooooooo ready to get a top quality laptop with MacOS again! :D

It looks like people are not quite understanding the difference between "Estimated Shipping" and "Estimated Delivery", as a lot of folks are putting "Estimated Delivery" dates under the "Estimated Shipping" column.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but all we have is an Estimated Delivery time frame, right?

Sorry, but it has been ages since I bought from the Apple Store.

The 460 has almost twice the computing power of the 450. Until they are out and benchmarked we can't really know what that translates to in real world performance; but that's worth noting. Something really interesting is that the Radeon Pro 460 has almost identical raw graphics power as the GPU in the Playstation 4. (The Radeon 460 Pro has 1.85 TFlops and the PS4's custom GPU has 1.86 TFlops). That does NOT mean you'll get PS4 level gaming graphics at all; there's a LOT more to a GPU than simply the Teraflop value. But it does mean it's quite a stout mobile GPU. Because it's part of AMD's Pro line, it's going to be optimized more for applications like Photoshop, Maya or Final Cut Pro; rather than it is for gaming.
It doesn't scale as 2x if you look at M370X vs M385X. M385X has a similar spec as Pro 460 (memory BW & compute power), which is a great way to estimate the performance. Note that Pro 460 (4th gen GCN) has improvements over M385X with 2nd gen GCN though.

UPS is saying my order has shipped (no touch bar 13" base model) but scheduled delivery info is not available-driving me crazy! I'm hoping it comes before the original scheduled delivery date of Friday.

Ordered
13" Space Gray 2.9 - 256GB - Touch Bar = $1799
USB-C to Lightning adaptor = $25
USB-C to USB adaptor = $19
CA Tax (8%) = 147.44
Total = $1993.44

October is an expensive month.

Got 6 years out of my 2010 MBP, better get 6 out of this one.

mid 2015 models still doesn't lag behind that :)

Oof, those adaptor prices! Just get yourself some on Amazon. You can get a pack of two for six bucks and they don't have an annoying wire.

Just an FYI for everyone waiting for their orders.....it looks like either Apple is sending everything expedited or is overestimating how long packages will take to arrive once they actually ship. My 13" base non-TB shipped last Friday and Apple said it would arrive this coming Friday-I just checked my UPS tracking and it's set to deliver tomorrow instead! So hopefully when everyone's TB models finally ship, you'll get them a few days ahead.

Also, it says my package cleared Canada customs but doesn't state where from, so I'm still not sure if these are shipping from a US warehouse or China directly. Anyone in the US who can comment if their packages cleared customs too?

So I sold my Mid 2014 15" MBP and now I'm using a 2009 13" MBP until the new one arrives. I have to say that for those who ordered the 13" model, I get it I actually like this smaller form factor in a laptop.

Hi, I also want to sale me mid14 15" pro and buy the latest 15pro.

Would you mind share a little bit information on the place you sell and the price?

Currently I just saw on the eBay, basically a mid14 512gb with 750m only worth around 1k2. I wonder whether you get higher values elsewhere

Thanks!

About to cancel my order and go with the 1 tb ssd instead of the 512 gb. I ordered the first day so it would've delivered nov 17-25th, now I have to wait till mid december probably :(

I did the same thing :( I one, forgot to order via the education store (my wife is a teacher) and I decided to go space grey instead of silver... I was going to get the first one Nov 17 but now, not until the end of Nov or the beginning of Dec. Oh well, I can wait I've got a top line Late 2014 15" MBP.

It's worth waiting to get what you really want. Back when the 2012 15" Macbook Pro was released, I originally ordered the default 8GB not realising that it was soldered on, so to go for 16GB I had to cancel the order and start again, causing me to fall two weeks behind. In the event, mine was among the first to be shipped and I received it earlier than the original anticipated delivery date. So anything is possible!

I thought about removing this column but decided to keep it as a failsafe - it forces people to check that they are adding their data to the right sheet.

I appreciate the effort you put into this, but I find the spreadsheet and its data has become useless for me. I found it intersting to compare the different countries/continents to each other. Now that everything has been split up in continents and even laptop size... It's very confusing.

I ordered the 13' non touch bar version (as I don't see myself using it) but I am intrigued on how the touch bar ones come out. Waiting to see everyone get theirs and see the benchmarks/reviews come in.

Can't please everyone!

EDIT: If it's any help, when the Macs start to ship, the split may seem more useful as the focus for each of us will be more on our home region.

You are welcome to copy the data from this spreadsheet into your own, bringing each of the sheets together (which I split from the single sheet this afternoon) - though appreciate that may not be of great use as the data will then no longer be live.

Ha I haven't looked at it, but I certainly see no reason to break it up by laptop size... Seems like people wanted to know the delta from time ordered to time shipped? Even continent is questionable, but perhaps relevant without knowing too much about how Apple normally ships products
