I was the same to be honest, I looked at the space grey MacBooks in the store and they are considerably more scratched than the silver ones. However they're probably a lot more abused than my Mac at home... I think the truth of it is that the space grey will show scratches (Obviously because physics), so if you're the person who scratches these things easily and doesn't want it showing then get the silver. My silver MBP currently only has a couple of scratches on the lid, which happened the 1 time I chucked it in a bag without a case cause I was in a rush. And my portfolio hinge attacked it. As for smudging, that's something that will be visible the same way a smudge on your black glass coffee table is. But once it's been up for a week and covered in dust/wine/biscuit crumbs, they all blend nicely.

I've gone for space grey as it does look really nice, I like the way the light bounces off it to change the shade slightly at different angles.

Back in 2013 when ordering a Mac Pro, I did the same thing and the spreadsheet was very popular with a couple of hundred people adding their order details.

I don't think you should be worried. The Matte black iPhone 7, which you would think would be very prone to scratches, is actually very resistant to scratches.

Perhaps you could plonk this in the comments line for now. When I started a similar spreadsheet for the MacPro in 2013, someone added a "vendor" row...

Replacement Laptop for my Current HP Probook 450 G0. This is going to be my first apple product, I have been saving for over 10 months now to buy a new laptop. Hope it turns out to be as good as i expect it to be

I am a Masters In Computer Science Student and will mostly use this laptop for my studies/entertainment at home and a little video editing.
 
Upgraded my shipping from Standard to 2-3 days!

Went from Nov. 28 - Dec. 5 to Nov. 23 - Dec. 1.

Was this option available online for you? I don't see that option and just chatted with online customer service and they said they didn't see an option for expedited delivery. Did you call or just get lucky with that option online? I have a similar ship window for my 15" base model touch bar MBP in Space Gray and would love to get it earlier!
 
Does anyone in the UK know of any insurance companies that would cover a laptop as expensive as the new MacBook Pros? I ordered a spec'd out 15" model (just over £4000) but the maximum value most sites have is £2000, with one I've seen at £2500. I haven't seen anything over that though.

I haven't insured gadgets of mine before, but considering how expensive the new MBPs are I think I'd like to in this case o_O

Try your household insurance.

He's most likely talking about the non touch bar 13"

Years ago, I believe with the iPhone 5, a bunch of us thought we'd be clever and get expedited shipping. We called, and Apple put on expedited shipping vs standard shipping.

Can you guess who's iPhone was delayed in being received?
 

Called up Apple to make sure my order was in placed since I signed up for the Barclaycard and he offered to upgrade the shipping free of charge.

It wasn't an option, called up Apple to make sure my order was all good and he offered to upgrade the shipping to 2-3 days.

I've ordered multiple items both Standard and 2-3 days and never had a delay in both. Most of the time, Apple is pretty early with their shipping. Not really in a rush to get it, but it'll be nice to get it soon.

Wow, just went to go check the status of my order after reading your comment, and the Apple Store app is giving me, "Orders are not available at this time. Please try again later."
 
My order has just gone for the original 2-3 weeks, to 6-8 weeks now. I placed the order for the 13" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar on day one. So now Delivers 19/12/2016 - 03/01/2017
Their order system is bugging out. I wouldn't pay it much attention till it's back up and running.

I'm seeing the same error on my app too. If they try and pull some bs and push the delivery back I might just cancel it.
 
I'm getting the error here to, here's hoping we start seeing our orders go to Peparing to Ship by tomorrrow!
