Hmmm, apple should take responsibility for the scratch. You are paying premium for their build quality after all. They do have awesome customer service and probably will expedite your replacement.Unsure. I've also had a weird graphics error that quickly fixed itself (green pixeled screen). If it's just the scratch I'll deal with it and not return but if anything else seems wrong I will send it back. I have an unopened MBP 15" with 455 graphics card sitting in my closet that I planned on returning but I'm so tempted to open it up and check for the scratch. The scratch probably would have went unnoticed if I hadn't seen the post with various others having the same scratch. It's only visible at certain angles.

Considering the insane price tag on these machines, I would absolutely return it over a small scratch... If Apple expects me to pay $4k for a computer, I expect them to be flawless especially in design.Unsure. I've also had a weird graphics error that quickly fixed itself (green pixeled screen). Strange things are happening.
I received feedback from customer support as I wondered what's going on with my Nov 5th ordered 15"/2.6/512/460 SG.
CS told me in not real fluent German that all is within the delivery window. My paypal account was authorized on Dec 5th... BUT my status remains unchanged ("processing"). For some reason the delivery window now changed to Dec 9 (!!!) - 15 and expedited shipping - previously I had Dec 12-16 with standard shipping.
Chiming in... I ordered on Nov 5th, quoted Dec 14-20 delivery window. CC pending on 11/9, however order still stuck in processing. I did BTO 15" Space Gray 2.9/512/460.... from reading the comments I think the delays are the 460?
From my experience, it's mostly futile to call Apple and ask about your delayed MacBook Pro order. They don't seem to have access to anything other than your order status. They are trained to tell you it will ship when your order says it will. I highly doubt any of them know what's going on overseas at Foxconn.
Has anyone's 15" MBP shipped in the past several days? It seems like tons of people are stuck with pending credit card transactions and orders still in "Processing". The 13" models seem to be shipping ahead of schedule.
That's a total dick move. If mine's been pushed back because Christmas sales I'm gonna be furious, since I've waited a month and the people who ordered at the keynote time got there laptops about 4-6 weeks before me now. This is so stupid. I'm totally gonna nag support tomorrow. My delivery target was changed from December 20-30 to December 22- January 3rd. Kind of looks like they wanted to increase Christmas sales by giving a delivery time of only 2-3 weeks. So annoying.
Mine was just delivered and.....it has the scratch below the speaker that others have posted about. Ahhhhhhh. I may cry.

What I don't get is that with all the shipments that have arrived over the last few weeks, they still haven't figured out WHERE the scratch happens ? They aren't dumb, they see the amount of laptops return and the reason why. It is ridiculous to allow a product to go out the factory and to the customer with such an aesthetic defect...Hmmm, apple should take responsibility for the scratch.
