Not cool! Are you returning it?

Unsure. I've also had a weird graphics error that quickly fixed itself (green pixeled screen). If it's just the scratch I'll deal with it and not return but if anything else seems wrong I will send it back. I have an unopened MBP 15" with 455 graphics card sitting in my closet that I planned on returning but I'm so tempted to open it up and check for the scratch. The scratch probably would have went unnoticed if I hadn't seen the post with various others having the same scratch. It's only visible at certain angles.

Hmmm, apple should take responsibility for the scratch. You are paying premium for their build quality after all. They do have awesome customer service and probably will expedite your replacement.

I had a graphics issue and with no questions asked they replaced it with a brand new one. For all the money, we spend on these things, that's the least they can do. Just call apple, tell them the problem, you send it back to them. Soon as they receive it, they will send you a new one a lot faster then it took you to get the first one. Because they categorize it as lost or stolen so it moves to the front of the line. That's what they did with mine.

The graphics issue and the scratch on day one? That is definitely not good. Try doing more graphics intensive tasks as I heard that is what causes the issue.

Considering the insane price tag on these machines, I would absolutely return it over a small scratch... If Apple expects me to pay $4k for a computer, I expect them to be flawless especially in design.

If it is overseas, they can't do overnight delivery is what I was told. And they can charge $30 to expedite your order. That came from a tech on another order a while ago.

Strange things are happening.
I received feedback from customer support as I wondered what's going on with my Nov 5th ordered 15"/2.6/512/460 SG.
CS told me in not real fluent German that all is within the delivery window. My paypal account was authorized on Dec 5th... BUT my status remains unchanged ("processing"). For some reason the delivery window now changed to Dec 9 (!!!) - 15 and expedited shipping - previously I had Dec 12-16 with standard shipping.

Just noticed another update in my account:
Delivery date was changed again - unfortunately lost another week: Dec 16-20 is now the target with expedited shipment

Wtf is going on?!?

AND MY LAPTOP HAS BEEN MOVED BACK A WEEK. SERIOUSLY APPLE. 5 weeks wasn't enough to make a laptop? That's BS. Now apparently it's likely to dispatch on the 15th, with the website saying it will arrive around the 20th. Well, there goes the likelihood of actually using the thing for my work this semester. Just plain outrageous

Chiming in... I ordered on Nov 5th, quoted Dec 14-20 delivery window. CC pending on 11/9, however order still stuck in processing. I did BTO 15" Space Gray 2.9/512/460.... from reading the comments I think the delays are the 460?

It's getting so very old seeing this dang "in Processing" message. Just ship the darn thing already.

From my experience, it's mostly futile to call Apple and ask about your delayed MacBook Pro order. They don't seem to have access to anything other than your order status. They are trained to tell you it will ship when your order says it will. I highly doubt any of them know what's going on overseas at Foxconn.

Has anyone's 15" MBP shipped in the past several days? It seems like tons of people are stuck with pending credit card transactions and orders still in "Processing". The 13" models seem to be shipping ahead of schedule.

I hope we have a major flow of shipments from the authorizations last week. My charges are still just showing as "pending" on my cards. ARGH

My delivery target was changed from December 20-30 to December 22- January 3rd. Kind of looks like they wanted to increase Christmas sales by giving a delivery time of only 2-3 weeks. So annoying.

That's a total dick move. If mine's been pushed back because Christmas sales I'm gonna be furious, since I've waited a month and the people who ordered at the keynote time got there laptops about 4-6 weeks before me now. This is so stupid. I'm totally gonna nag support tomorrow.

Mine was just delivered and.....it has the scratch below the speaker that others have posted about. Ahhhhhhh. I may cry.

Had the same issue, been waiting on my replacement for over 2 weeks and it got delayed. You can try requesting a replacement, I heard some people were offered to keep there Mac with a hold on their card till the new one arrives.

What I don't get is that with all the shipments that have arrived over the last few weeks, they still haven't figured out WHERE the scratch happens ? They aren't dumb, they see the amount of laptops return and the reason why. It is ridiculous to allow a product to go out the factory and to the customer with such an aesthetic defect...

Mine has just been reduced by a day from 22 December-4 Jan to 21 December-3 Jan.

13" TB/512GB/16GB/3.3GHz ordered 11/21, CC charged 12/11, shipped out today 12/12, estimated delivery 12/15.

15in 2.6/512/460 ordered 11/28 still no movement

Same model, 15" 2.6GHz/512GB/460/SG CTO, but ordered on December 1st. Estimated delivery date is 12/28, stuck at processing, but got my card charged just a couple hours ago. Crossing my fingers for an earlier delivery.

Ordered through EPP online store if that makes any difference. Not sure if Apple expedites employee purchases. Doesn't look like it though.

Ordered stock 13 inch with TB, 256 GB, on November 26th, went to PFS today (Dec 12)

Edit: original delivery estimates were Dec 22-29

For you guys buying the stock models or the upgraded SSD models, you might have better luck strolling into your local Apple or Best Buy store and getting one. They seem to always have the 256/512/1TB in stock of both models in both colors here locally. I ended up canceling my Apple order after it sat "In Processing" for a week then walked into Best Buy and walked out with one. I gotta say I was pretty upset that Apple doesn't have them ready to ship but Best Buy does.
