Vince McMahon sells $100 million of WWE stock as XFL reboot plan continues

I don't see this getting off the ground, I'm not sure why he's so convinced this will work. The NFL is incurring a downturn in viewership, they're struggling with the fact that the very sport they made billions on, is responsible for CTE in its players and is working to mitigate that by changing how players tackle/hit each other.

The old XFL that failed, was promised to be a fresh hard hitting few rules alternative to the NFL.

I think it makes more sense if he's that interested in football to make a run at the Carolina Panthers and buying them

This might be a distraction rumor to bid on the Panthers.

I thought as well, McMahon is no dummy and starting up a league in 2017 is a formidable task. The only thing I can think of is that he senses weakness in the NFL due to falling ratings, but I think even that requires a huge leap of faith to say there's room for another league.

Who will he get to broadcast the league, NBC won't take another chance on it, not while being in bed with the NFL. But Vince has done things in the past that defy logic so maybe he is wanting to bring back the XFL.

Agreed. Any league that tries to compete with the NFL is doomed to failure. He would be much better off making a run for the Panthers.

I doubt any fans are really concered about cte.

I know I'm not when you know the players are making millions paying a game. They knew the risks and went the rewards anyways.

Not quite sure how the nfl should target more millennial viewership. 1 idea is to create a streaming site allowing anyone to stream the games online. Not many cord cutters I know watch the nfl or if they do then they watch it on illegal streaming sites.

Don't want xfl if it's anything like fake wrestling. The xfl would have 2nd tier athletes who couldn't make it to nfl. It'll be worse than the CFL.

Well Hawks beat Dallas. Now all they have to do is win next week and hope Atlanta loses in order to get a wild-card.
Yeah Panthers better show up against the falcons.

How'd the 49ers beat the jaguars though?

I assumed the 49ers were way more broken than just the qb. I guess I was wrong.

They were but in this league a good QB fixes many ill’s. Now the defense is getting better field position and not playing as much, it all trickles down. Plus a lot of the game is mental and players are way more motivated

I usally don't like the Panthers/cam Newton but will be rooting for then as a seahawks fan. Can't imagine the Hawks will get far in the playoffs if they make it with the offense from the last 2 weeks.

welp, the raiders are crap and there are rumors going around that the whole coaching staff are going to fired. GOOD!

and a small one being started that gruden is toying with coming back. pfft. right.

i'd love to know what current NFL coaches, such as Carroll, and Belichick, think of the raiders and our ownership.

I had not watched MNF in years and found myself watching the Falcons play a while back
I was surprised how much I didn't like Gruden
His style and schtick seemed old and stale and more than a bit contrived

Looks like O'Brien may be back in 2018 for the Texans
Texans likely to keep Bill O'Brien as head coach, sources say

Tbh, I'm not sure about it, he's been there since, he's 31 and 32 with the Texans, they had some decent seasons with him, but they never really seemed able to get to the next level. Plus I heard the relationship with the GM is toxic, don't know if that's really true or not though.

The Texans were pretty good this year before deshaun watson got injured.
