Well, because they haven't been caught, no.

But I'd guarantee they do.

And since it, a seemingly small thing like ball inflation, was such a big deal I don't think anyone else who was doing it is going to come out and admit it.

If you think/believe they don't, I applaud you.

I'd like to live in that world one day.

You need to back it up.

The early reports I've heard say Butler was benched for missing some team meetings, missing curfew, and failing a drug test for marijuana. If that's true I applaud the coaching staff for sticking to their guns and benching a player that could have really helped them win the game.

The craziest thing for me about the game was that the Patriots defense collapsed so badly. All season they had done a great job of keeping their opponents from scoring and then in the championship they allow Philly to score every time they touched the ball except for once. The Pats offense did enough to win the game and their defense totally blew it. As for the Eagles, kudos to them for keeping the pressure on and making big plays. They had a great game plan and totally dismantled the Pats D. I expected the second half would be very different with the Pats making defensive adjustments, but the Eagles kept right on rolling and offensively out-schemed them.

I'm glad to see Foles get the win. He's a class act. I'm sure you've heard, all the speculation is on what will happen now and will he be the back up in Philly again next year.

From this website, they have the passing defense for the pats rated 30th

The way the eagles carved up the pats defensively, I'd say that ranking is accurate.

Also I vaguely recall early on in the season the pats defense was porous at best, though they did get better in general as the season wore on

From what they were saying early in the broadcast the Pats D ranked lower in the league for yards allowed but was one of the better teams at preventing scoring. So, they talked about how they didn't necessarily keep teams from moving up and down the field, but when it game down to the red zone they kept teams out of the end zone.

They didn't keep the Eagles out of the end zone. However, if you think about it many of the Eagles touchdowns were on big pass plays.

I think I remember them saying pats were 27th in yards allowed and 4th in scoring allowed.

Glad to see the Eagles win, as much as it pains me to see another NFC East team other than that great team (well not so great for the past 20+ years) from Dallas. :D

I wonder if Brady calls it quits or tries for one more?

My question - why has Hue Jackson not been fired yet.
[doublepost=1515622925][/doublepost]Also what are your guy's thoughts on Rosen and the Browns?
Rosen adamantly doesn’t want to come to the Browns, and my attitude is divided between f—- him and let’s draft him anyway and see what happens.

With regards to Jackson, owner Jimmy Haslam has finally realized you can’t blow up the team every two years and expect to get anywhere. Granted, it’s a weird time to take a stand on stability (following a 1-31 two-season record), but you gotta stop the carousel sometime.

Plus, it wasn’t all Hue’s fault. They are moving away from analytics people (which is what gave us DeShone “Mr. Interception” Kizer) in favor of football people again, even finally hiring an OC to take over the play calling.

They now have two of the first four picks in the draft, and five in the first three rounds. With experienced football people doing the picking, things should look up. (They can’t get any worse.)

However, I’m sure Hue’s on a short leash. Anything below a bare minimum of 4-5 wins and he’s gone.

And I will say one thing: if they start that trading-down BS again, I think the fans just might congregate at the stadium with pitchforks and torches.

If I were the Browns I'd do what Mel Kiper said, "#1 QB Josh Allen - Wyoming to the Browns... then #4 RB Saquon Barkley - PSU..."

Testing free agency doesn't necessarily mean he won't return, unless the Patriots don't make him an offer. I think he's gone though.

You're right. I guess I should have mentioned that it was heavily speculated that Butler's time in New England was over so while a player may test free agency and re-sign, Butler knew his time in New England was done.

Add:

And just like that, McDaniels decides to remain in New England. What a bitch move. LOL

Whoa Kraft with the power move to stick it to the colts. Either that or he knows belichick is leaving next year

McDaniels changed his mind. From what I’ve read he told the Colts he wanted some time to think it over. It was assumed he was going to take the job.

No doubt, Butler is gone. And it seems he was told he wasn’t playing just before the National Anthem. Still lots of questions there.

I don't get it, why is McDaniel's sticking around? I haven't heard of a good reason.
They have a Franchise quarterback who has shown to be great if they can protect him, the team has done well, when it was coached well (not by pagano).

The only thing I can think, is that Kraft made him an offer he couldn't refuse, i.e., stick around and be the heir apparent to Belicheck. You know, kind of like what the Jets did with Parcells and Belicheck - you know how well that worked out ;)

Outside of that, this has severely impacted McDaniels from getting another shot from a different organization. Few owners will be willing to take roll the dice on him

Yeah I think you're right it has to be a combination of both, money and a promise of a head coaching job. Kraft must know when Belichick is leaving, I doubt McDaniels would have agreed without knowing how long he was going to be waiting... I mean Bill is relatively young, what if he decides to coach for another 5-6 years.

Speaking of that Belichick-Parcells situation, you guys should watch that 30 for 30 on ESPN "the two Bills" its a great documentary that dives in to how that whole situation played out. A great watch especially for Giants, Jets and Pats fans.

Absolutely...if Barkley is still there at number 4.
I can't see the best player in the draft dropping to #4. If the Breveland Clowns don't snag him #1, then the Giants surely will. They can get Eli's replacement in the 2nd round. They're ready to compete IF they had a running game. The 90's Cowboys had the Triplets (Aiken, Ervin and Smith). The Giants are missing one of their triplets (Manning, Beckham and ???) Look at their RB stable; instead of a who's who, it's a who? (Unless you're a Giants fan, you probably never heard of any of them).
If I were Cleveland's GM, I would take Barkley #1, and a QB #4. There are a lot of quality QBs to choose from and only one Barkley.

This would make too much sense for the Browns, they've botched just about every top pick that their terrible record has afforded them in the past few years.

I would do the same. That said, it is pretty much guaranteed that the Browns won't be as smart as us.

Browns have a smart GM now, so long as he isn't overruled by the owner, they should make good use of the 1st and 2nd round picks they acquired from my Texans. They have at least 4 picks in the top 40.

Yeah ... Maybe, maybe Belichick is going to retire after this coming season..?

I'm not sure when his contract expires, they Patriots are tight lipped on what they pay their coaches, but this may very well me some level of succession planning.

And he, Belichick, may have learned a lesson from how Parcells screwed him, and the NY Giants, over.
