Looks like this is what is happening.
YES! YES! YES!So Simms out Romo in as lead analyst for CBS?
Hopefully in retirement he won't be as bitter as Don Meredith was...

YES! YES! YES!
Sims is an idiot.
I can't stand the way Sims talks or play calls. His tone and voice drive me nuts! Between him and Joe Buck, I sometimes have to turn the channel or mute the sound. They both drive me nuts!
I didn't mind him, but I think its curious that they'd make Romo the #1 broadcaster without any experience. I think they could be setting him up to fail. Why not start him up slowly.I can't stand the way Sims talks or play calls.

I wonder how Sims is taking this news, will he leave and go to Fox?
Yeah that is strange, I would think they would ease him into the spot. They have no idea how he is going to perform.
I'm sure there have been countless run-throughs, auditions and rehearsals... I don't think they would put someone on the air to millions of viewers just willy-nilly.
Oh no question. I'm sure CBS is going to give him a crash course, but again to move him to the #1 spot without prior experience is curious. I hope the best for him, and it works out.I'm sure there have been countless run-throughs, auditions and rehearsals... No way did Romo audition. CBS came to him. He didn't have to audition for anythingI'm sure there have been countless run-throughs, auditions and rehearsals... I don't think they would put someone on the air to millions of viewers just willy-nilly.
I feel like Romo learned a lot from sitting on the side lines for the last two seasons, and he would give the "behind the scenes" look that many viewers want
He's gonna be the starter in DEN ...
John Elway to stubborn to get Romo. I thought Houston was the best spot for himHe's gonna be the starter in DEN ...

I don't think he'd leave CBS right after committing to them.
Just seen getting off a plane at O'Hare Int'l in Chicago...
Do we have an "official" statement or credible source that he has committed to CBS. At this point I thought everything was just speculation.I don't think he'd leave CBS right after committing to them.
