This may be leaning towards philosophy, but I'm not sure if a "perfect" anything exists (at least in terms of material objects). Spend enough time looking and you will find a problem with anything. Whether it be a $100k Patek Philip or a tennis ball. It's all about tolerance. I heard that Tibetan monks purposely put faults in their expensive rugs to demonstrate this view.
Having said that, I've returned multiple products looking for perfection and I think my next purchase will be to use and not look for any issues and if they come up, then Apple care it is.
Interestingly enough, with the Apple upgrade program on the iPhone, I pretty much stopped caring about some issue due to me knowing that I will upgrade in a year. Maybe look at this computer in that sense, that no mater how long you have it, you will likely be buying a replacement in the next 1-5 years.
