I went through 3 before I got a A034, which was perfect.
I still haven't seen an A034. I've had three from Apple that were A033 and I went into my local reseller and they had two on display, both were yellow and both were A033. That makes five bad A033 displays I've seen. Can't be a coincidence.

No, it's not. Might be worth holding off until next years models come out, unless you can keep buying returning.

A031 here. I'm colorblind so probably not the best judge of something like this lol but I haven't noticed any yellowing and I did look specifically for it prior to this post.

A033 arrived yesterday. No banding.

You mean is there variance when the screen has other colours fullscreen?
I mean if you shrink a Safari window down to say 35% of the screen, with a solid white image and move that around, does the tone of the white change? My first bad screen didn't have banding per say but had corners that were yellowish.

They look ok.
[doublepost=1503677718][/doublepost]A comparison with my work 2015 MacBook Pro. It's all round a much more uniform better panel with less bleed.

Looks good. I am glad some people are finding decent screens.

A031 have better brightness level than A030. If the brightness level is turned up, its less noticeable.

From my experience, A031 have worse uneven tint issue than A030, but more A030 have pink tint issue on the left side.

Overall, I sort of gave up on MacBook at this point. If it wasn't because I need it for software development environment, I would have not bother with any at this point.

What interest me the most is that no news anywhere about it. Seems everyone just ignore the problem somehow.

My fourth MacBook Pro arrived today. Another A033 screen, still not uniform. This one is pink in the lower left corner. Not as bothersome as the others, but I already had an order in for a 5th for I’m going to wait and compare when that one arrives.

I went to a larger Apple Store over the weekend and checked out at least ten 13” MacBook Pro’s and every single one had an A033 screen. I think at this point it’s going to be impossible to get an A034 screen and I’ll just have to settle for whatever one bothers me the least.

I have not yet seen one that is "fine", and would like to see one.

Every single machine I have tested, included the one from office, all of them have problem shown right away with either on the common 4xTree test, or simply gmail inbox with gray color differentiate from left to right (looks like gradient but there are none)

At this point, I honestly dont believe there is a single panel that doesn't suffer from uneven tint for TouchBar Macbook.
It's all about tolerance level. It might be "fine" to you, but not to the others, especially for those who do design development.

Well mine is? I have no issue with the screen whatsoever

2016 / 2017 touch bar model? Doesn't seem like it in your signature.

Also, many people claim to have no issue, yet none of them are able make a photo proof for it. Only photo that is posted that are all problematic.

If you have no issue, most likely it just you didn't bother or don't care.

Man that stinks. I couldn't settle knowing I spent that much money on this machine. Can you wait until the next generation comes out?

Not really. My current MacBook needs a bigger hard drive but it’s not upgradeable. It’s been nagging me for months that the startup disk is full. Also it is suffering from “staingate” so I’ll need to get a new screen on that before I sell it.

I would keep returning until you get a good one, but that's me.

Pretty sure that is not true. I do returns at Best Buy all the time and have never had any issues. Ironically Walmart banned me last week for having three returns without a receipt. *rolleyes

Either way, there is no way that type of policy would apply if a product is actually defective. Just take it back to Best Buy, tell them the issue, and get a new one. Really shouldn't be that difficult.
Best buy absolutely bans people for too many returns, they call it a fraud protection. Even if you exchange as defective unit, they still flag it a return

This is 2017 15", Manufacturer 610, Model A030. Bought a few days ago from Best Buy, during -$275 discount event.
No bleeding, no clouding, but right and left sides are not perfect. I'm not sure what to do with it, I'd like to return it but I wonder if I can get a better screen in reality. Took this photo at 60% brightness.

System Preferences/Display/Color/Open Profile. Go to line 17.
Would you mind posting a screenshot of where you're looking? I checked every single color profile and every single line, but no A0##'s to be found.
