Holy cow, Batman. $86M, 3 year contract. IMO, they overpaid. Not my team, so I don't care.:D I would have cut a deal with Teddy for less money and spent that savings to improve the O-line.
I don't think Keenum is as good as last season showed. Remember how Fitzmagic turned Fitztragic on the Bills after signing a yuge contract?

Holy smokes!

I am glad to see him leave that team from D.C. though! :D Here is hoping that team from D.C. has another mediocre if not downright horrible season!

Cowboys + other teams interested in earl Thomas. Seahawks want 1st rounded + 3rd rounder

That is too much.
Is it? I mean he's an incredible athlete. I'm not sure its its that excessive.

Especially considering the 49ers only had to give up their 2nd rounder for Jimmy g. Jimmy g is much more valuable than odell would ever be.
The Pats could have gotten more if they pulled the trigger with the Browns, but they passed up on that offer

Reports are the Browns were offering their first round pick which is reasonable, I wouldn't even waste a single first round pick on odell let alone 2 picks.

Belichick doesn't like 1st rounders as much because of the salary cap they take, he likes second rounders the most, high value pick. Jimmy G was a forced hand, so getting a 2nd rounder on the other conference, never have to see him unless you play him in the super bowl.

The 49ers 2nd rounder is only like 2 or 3 spots away from the Patriots 1st rounder. I'm sure belchik would love a top 10 pick though.

Belichek is a petty little man who holds grudges, he would never help out the Browns after they kicked him to the curb years ago.

Can you blame the Breveland Clowns? He kicked to the curb the best Browns QB since Otto Graham. They have been stuck in QB hell ever since Bernie's departure.
Oh yes. We Browns fans will never forget the phrase “diminishing skills”.

Nor the fact that all Cleveland ever was for Belicheck was a place to learn what mistakes not to make on his way up. (Cleveland fans still refer mockingly to “Metcalf up the middle”).

Still, the off-season moves this year have been very promising...and it all started with hiring Dorsey. I’m not expecting that much — the Browns have perhaps the toughest schedule in the NFL — but at least we should see some wins.

The Browns are a serious candidate for OBJ, and with Landry, Josh Gordon. All they need is a QB who won't mess this up.

Bite your tongue.

I was, however, surprised that Cleveland is not ranked at the bottom of the 2018 pre-season power rankings. That dubious honor goes to the Jets.

Not sure which rankings you’re looking at but every one I’ve seen still has the browns last, with the exception of one which had the bears. And the updated rankings after free agency actually moved the jets up to the mid 20s.... I mean they still suck let’s not kid ourselves but I don’t think we’ve sunken down to Cleveland Browns territory just yet.

It does seem like the browns are finally making some good moves though so we may be having a totally different conversation after this season, as long as they don’t screw up all of their draft picks. Picking 1 and 4 is pretty sweet, who can possibly screw that up?
