2.6Ghz 15" here on the Mojave Beta.

I have the chime issue and can confirm that my top left port reports 400 watts as others have described.

Hopefully Apple will figure this out before long, annoying when i'm trying to sleep haha.

I have the chime issue on a second unit. Top left port reads 389w. The others read 60w.

I have Mojave and High Sierra in a dual-boot configuration. Even when booted back into High Sierra I still see the bogus power value. For me, I see 432 watts. So this is a T2 Firmware issue that affects your computer regardless of boot OS.

Firmware Version: 16P50361a

And I do have the chime issue as well.

Yes I do have Mojave installed, and I've also filed a BR on this issue, which anyone running the beta should do.
Did too, no feedback on this BR so far (but I can understand this one may not be a priority number one ^^)

Installed the new Mojave a few minutes ago, same 432 on the left port as last beta. All other ports show 86w.

The firmware jumped to 16P50366a

Installed here too, and top left port still at 389w. I wonder what the Firmware change was for? I'll have to plug it in next to my bed tonight to see if the chime issue is still there.

No idea. I’ve yet to experience the chime that a lot of you have. I’m kinda surprised the W bug still exists, but it seems to be purely cosmetic.

389w I’m guessing you have a 13”.

Firmware version changed at every new beta so far.
My guess is bug report have been very new and not very massive on this issue, so it hasn't been dealt with. Waiting on the chime sound to confirm nothing has changed on that part too.

Definitely 'not very new', as my laptop was collected to inspect three weeks ago.. ( and I STILL don't have a replacement.. not very happy with that .. )

No. I have the new 15" base model. Maybe it is reading that way because I'm at work plugged into my LG 4K Apple sanctioned display. Maybe it charges at the same level a 13" does.

I filed another BR for this port issue with under the Mojave beta.

Ah yeah, that's why. The 4k doesn't push a full 87w. I've submitted one as well.

At least we know it's just a bug and nothing to be really concerned about.

Haha! Sorry about that. At home and using the Apple charger I get 432w in upper left port and 86w in all the others.

It's been about 12 house since I've upgraded to the latest Mojave PB, I have not had the sporadic powerchime issue. Can anyone else confirm the problem is solved in PB7?

I can confirm that the chime issue seems to have been resolved in Mojave (18A371a). Good to have confirmation it wasn't a hardware issue.

Installed beta 8 and restarted into HS. So far no chime either so looks like it was some kind of firmware thing. Still have wrong W reported on top left usb port.

.. Apple support really dropping ball on keeping me updated, turns out replaced laptop shipped from factory on 18th, and only yesterday did they inform me of tracking number, after it was already in country arranging to be delivered, when I was wanting delivery address changed, having contacted Apple numerous times and been ignored about this before shipping! Fortunately, the courier has been helpful.. and sometime between today and tuesday I will hopefully finally have my replacement, one month from opening case.. glad to hear this particular issue seems now resolved at least, just hope I don't get hit with bridgeos...

In the latest Mojave build (18A377a) the wattage issue still remains with the top left port.
