I wouldn't be surprised - Horner is a child with ADHD. He forgets about his stars when someone new comes along. Webber, Vettel, Danny Ric. Max better hope he wins a title soon, otherwise another kid might come along and Horner will be like "Max....Max...I think I knew a Max once?"

A. If he does it won't be with them.
B. Their titles day are over forever.

Whilst I’m not surprised RBR didn’t want Vettel back, I was surprised that Christian Horner decided to announce it during a Sky interview on the pit wall.

I think Crofty couldn’t believe his luck he got that! 😀

Any statement made by RBR, or any F1 team for that matter, should be taken with a grain of salt. Last year, Horner himself said they wouldn't demote Gasly for his bad performance, and how did that one turn out?

He probably had to say something to leave his drivers at ease and with a clear mind, but if I were Albon, I wouldn't take their word for it.

What did you guys think of Fernando’s tweet in response to Vettel the other day?? Any legs in it or just one of Fred’s cheeky trolls??

What a great qualifying....had all sorts in there and an interesting starting line up. Glad that they managed to get it done today, rather than defer until tomorrow.

Should be good to see the different strategies tomorrow. What with 3 safety cars last week, I think that it will that come into play again this week. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Always enjoy a wet qualifying. The race is due to be dry though. Lewis wasn’t in the pace in dry free practice so maybe not that cut and dried? I think the monster lap was more about the driver than the car. He’s always been good in the wet.
A wet/dry race tomorrow would be more fun. But hey, at least we have F1 back!

Just over 3 hours away.

LeClerc has been given a 3 spot grid penalty and will start 14th.

5 different teams in the top 7 spots. 4 in the top 5.

I feel like it isn't this varied up that high on the grid usually... last week too.

what in the hell is going on ...?

anyone else watching right now?

is that the anthem?

it's like death metal accordion music...

Bottas and Max...nice driving and defending...

PS: I am not even able to see the race, just hear it currently. That's what happens when you cut the cord. UGH!

Nice drive by Lando. ;)

Otherwise typical Mercedes 1/2 Snooze Race.
Isn't it up to the other teams to raise their game? I won't hide the fact I'm a Hamilton fan and want to see him break all the records. But it's not just about who wins, there's almost always plenty of action elsewhere on the track.

It's great to see Norris doing well and there's rarely a dull moment with Vettel these days. 😂

Agree entirely.

It isn’t easy for either Mercedes or Hamilton to stay on top for so many years. In fact, it’s incredibly difficult for any team/individual to do so.

Ferrari are proof how easy it is for things to go South so quickly.

great to see some young blood coming up as well. There is a lot of talent there to challenge and pressurise the status quo.

loving both races so far, tho I’ll admit last weeks race was better than this week.

Obviously Mercedes have a fantastic car, but if the last couple of years have proved anything, it's that you also need to make the right decisions. How many times did Ferrari blow it because the team made the wrong call? Now it's looking like an uphill battle for Ferrari because the car doesn't seem quite there.

Plus the drivers themselves need to make the right moves during a race. Look how Vettels poor decision making have cost him recently.

Le Clerc didn't exactly cover himself in glory this morning.

Watching the Indy Car races from Road America and such a change from Austria with plenty of fans in the stands and around the track.
