Saudi Arabia will host a Formula One Grand Prix in November next year after confirmation of plans to hold a night race on the streets of Jeddah.

Agreed. But let’s be honest nowhere has had much atmosphere this year! But it bothers me much less in F1 than football. Just the podium is such a anticlimax without the fans.

I haven’t watched any races this year apart from some highlights and YouTube clips so not really seen how they manage the lack of people.

You do t really notice during the race. But at the end it’s very subdued without the crowds. Some races have limited fans.

Well that was an interesting qualifying session. Who had Lance Stroll on pole?! So now we know Mercedes' weakness, make the track as slippery as possible.

That was the best Qualifying I have seen in years in terms of excitement.

It was certainly very slippery out there. Of course it’s predicted to be dry tomorrow, so anyone who had their car set up for a wet track today had an advantage which will be reversed tomorrow. But should make for a good race. I expect Max to leapfrog Stroll though.

2021 Provisional Calendar

23 races planned. Looks like Vietnam was a one-shot for 2020 only so no Vietnamese Grand Prix for 2021 and that spot will be filled by one of the 2020 "backup" circuits.

I'm going to (very lightly) pencil myself in for the US Grand Prix in 2021.

Judging by the 2 that have already crashed on the practice laps, we could easily see 4-5 go out on the first lap! They might start under the safety car yet.

Did well to not crash out. Stroll is definitely the favourite, but anything can happen in these conditions.

Spun on the first lap and then again.

Superb drive from Lewis. What a way to win your 7th title. Perez showing he should be in F1 next season and pleased to see Vettel back on th4 podium after a horrible season.

Hamilton, well what can you say? I think we’ll look back and realise how lucky we were to witness such an amazing driver to be honest. As much as he can be a bit of an idiot off track, he’s one of the greatest drivers in the history of the sport. So glad I’ve cheered him on for all these years and met him towards the beginning of his journey. Good one Lewis and a decent race by the looks
