Hamilton, well what can you say? I think we’ll look back and realise how lucky we were to witness such an amazing driver to be honest. As much as he can be a bit of an idiot off track, he’s one of the greatest drivers in the history of the sport. So glad I’ve cheered him on for all these years and met him towards the beginning of his journey. Good one Lewis and a decent race by the looks
Well done by him for sure.

Nice mix on the podium.

Part of me says that every F1 season should have a race like this one. The combination of a wet race weekend, a new track surface, and a layout that the F1 teams had little historical data on, sure shook things up on the starting grid and during the race.

Another masterful performance from Lewis Hamilton. You can say what you want about Hamilton's success being tempered having the best car, but it tool real skill, judgement, strategy, and guts to bring his car home like that. A Champion's drive on a most fitting day.

Yeah Lewis showed his mettle and skills once again today. You don't see that success unless you are in the best car, but on the flip side, there are two cars and Schumacher's and Lewis' teammates never rose anywhere near to their level (even Alonso could not match them).

For once, the Ferrari's tendency to burn their tires worked in their favor since they could keep cooling them down. :p

Red Bull... Red Bull... Red Bull.... What could have been...

Fantastic job by Perez. That is where experience mattered with his eventual second compared to Stroll's 9th.

One of the best GP's for a while, lots going on and swapping and changing throughout the race. No-one had any real idea what the best strategy was going to be, so it was a case of wait and see what other people do.

Think one of the commentators made a real good point (can't remember who) when they said that what F1 needs is less downforce. No more flat out around every corner, but every driver having to rely on their skill to keep the car on the track.

Lewis excelled today on keeping it pointing the right direction most of the time, so turned a huge deficit into a massive lead. Well done to him on winning his 7th title in such style.

Great race. Couldn’t take your eyes off it for a second. Felt a bit sorry for Stroll (yes I know his dad owns the team etc) after leading for so long.
Lewis drove superbly. As did the Ferrari guys.
Max was the surprise for me. Thought he would have done better. Terrible start, but that wasn’t the only issue.
Bottas probably just wants to see the end of 2020. Such a gap between the two Mercs, it’s embarrassing.

Hamilton has always been exceptional in the wet. I remember watching him at the 2008 British GP and where I was soaked and everybody was spinning left right and centre, Lewis kept it on the island. He seemed to be finding grip where others couldn’t and it’s a skill he’s maintained.

Indeed. Max was really good in Brazil a few years back as well, but the thing with Max is, he shows flashes of brilliance. But Lewis is Mr consistent. His off weekends are few and far between.

The other commentator responded with that's exactly what F1 is doing with the 2022 rules.

For me that validates how good he is though. The same things were said about Schumacher and Senna in their era’s so for me it proves Hamilton has joined that exclusive tier.
Plenty of "good" drivers have had great cars and not been able to finish the job.

Lewie gets "poop emoticon" done when he has to.

If he's not the best ever he's close. Schumacer was the same way.

And I'm not a fan. He's ok in my book but I root for several other folks. :)

I like Lewis being from the U.K., but also love to see Daniel Ricardo do well as he’s the nicest guy in F1.

Really? Hamilton has been an established brand since what 1872. An innovator in the horological world. I think Hamilton definitely got there first. One word comes to mind and it's a Brit word: wanker.

I saw that the other day and it did make me laugh. As if Lewis Hamilton was going to win against an established brand like Hamilton lol. More likely his agent not realising. Hamilton is also a very common surname which he must realise. Imagine if we get a driver in the future called Daniel Rolex

You would think that after 3 years of litigation, Hamilton or his "team" might have done a little due diligence and uncover that fact that Hamilton as a company has been around since 1872.
