In my experience, it definitely does feel like a new machine. It'll run great
So exciting that people in the USA are getting early deliveries.

The problem with Europe is that they leave China and fly West, stopping 4-5 times on the way to Eindhoven . Whereas going to the US they fly East and not many places they can stop between the China and Alaska.

I look daily to see if anything has changed on my order (base model), but unfortunately it’s been at a standstill since ordering last week 26, March. Not that I need it quickly, or rather one of my kids needs it, but I’m certainly curious to see it, as my original 13” MBA was such an awesome laptop.

Am I correct in thinking that some of you have got your MBAs slightly earlier than the earliest (original) delivery estimate from Apple, others at the beginning of the “window”, some towards the end, and a few after the last of the two dates originally predicted?

Mine updated to delivery today. It was originally 3/27-4/3. Then Apple updated it to 4/9 when it shipped. UPS then updated it to 4/6, and now to today. We’ll see.
I like that my package is being handled by FedEx (no pun intended haha)
I generally feel like FedEx is more on top of things than UPS
but UPS isn't horrible either / used them plenty and mostly do fine

Delivered! Setting it up will be my Saturday project (easy with Migration Assistant).
if the migration assistant install doesn’t go well how easy is it to wipe clean? Just repair disk boot and wipe and reinstall?

Really? I ordered (in the UK) on the same day and got an expected delivery window of between the 22nd and 27th of April. Must be your location I suppose. Bad luck.
