2020 Macbook Air order status

YES!!! They did indeed come back at just past 4:00 PM. Naturally I had gone off to work, but my brand spankin' new MacBook Air was waiting for me! Love love love the keyboard. I restored from a LaCie 1TB SSD I used for a final backup of my old MBA. It went very quickly over USB-C.
Overall dimensions seem a tad smaller than my 2010. The trackpad is bigger too and more responsive, which I appreciate. Just from a physical perspective, this is a giant upgrade from my beloved 2010 MBA.
I don't think I'll ever know exactly why UPS showed up this morning and promptly left without delivering. As it was just a half hour after dispatch for UPS, the truck was probably jam-packed with deliveries and the driver simply couldn't find it. With a full load to deliver he couldn't spend 20 minutes or whatever moving everything around to find one package that may or may not have been on the truck. So the driver left and continued his rounds until there was enough open room in the truck to find mine. I'm just glad he came back. We have some drivers at FedEx that would just say, "screw it" and return to base. Try again tomorrow. UPS came through. Kudos!!

hello guys. Last satur 16/5, i ordered MBA2020 i3/8gb/256 + mouse ... at that same day, the order status for the mouse ran smoothly as it was shipped at the same day. I got it yestaday 19/5 (expected date:20/5) by UPS.. but the status order of my MBA is still at "processing" now and the biggest problem is that i am not that strong to b patient until 28/5-1/6 estimated delivery date.. 😖😖😖😖 aigooo.

The good news is that these MBAs seem to be coming early. I ordered on the 7th. My original delivery estimate was the 21st to 29th. It arrived on the 19th. I remember the old days when you'd order an Apple computer and have to wait one or two months. More if it was a hot new product and you ordered it when it was announced.

Arrived today! For those from the UK wondering what the process is looking like now:
May 13th: Ordered (i5, Standard config)
May 18th: Preparing to Dispatch
May 19th: Dispatched
May 20th: Delivered (rural Scotland)
I ordered the MBA 2020 i3/8gb/256 last Friday and my order is stuck in the processing phase as well. Estimated delivery date is 5/26-5/28. I hope it ships soon.
Ordered custom i5 the 7th of May. Shipped the 14th just laying in CH for a while. Arrived in Germany the 20th, arrived in Norway the 22. Now its underway to me and the confirmed delivery date is the 26th. This is going to be the longest weekend ever just waiting for this lovely machine.
Hey when did you order yours ? Well with thunderbolt utilises usbc, so you could get a usbc covertor or simple Bluetooth mouse.
Ordered on the 9th. So it will be basically 2.5 weeks. I’m sure it will be worth it.

I ordered mine last Saturday (May 16), along with some other item. The other items shipped out Monday morning. The computer is still in processing. There seems to be several levels of processing. It originally said something like, “we have everything.” A couple nights ago it changed to “we’re preparing your order and will notify you when it ships.”
I don’t expect it to ship until at least Tuesday morning, as Monday is a holiday, and tomorrow is Sunday. I doubt any orders will be shipped on either of those days. It hasn’t even made it out of processing yet.
I do think it is possible that Apple can move it to “preparing to ship” maybe tomorrow night, as the rest of my order shipped out on a Monday morning. I suppose that could have happened earlier on Monday morning, though.
The estimated arrival dates have not changed (May 27-May 29).

Canceled my Apple “Processing” 🥱 order when Costco Shows stocked i7/16GB/256SSD for $1399.
it says I will get it by Thursday. That’s 10 days sooner then Apple direct. 4 days vs 21 days.

I had a base Air with an i5 upgrade on order from Apple, and they told me it wouldn't be delivered until Jun 5 - 12th. Crazy. Costco happened to have the same one for $50 less, so I cancelled the Apple order and ordered from Costco instead. It will be here on the 28th. Saved $50 over Apple's price and I've got a 90-day return policy on it. So excited!!
do you live in the United States or somewhere else? I wasn’t really expecting Apple to ship anything today in the US, as it is Memorial Day, and I did think anyone was in the warehouses. I also don’t think UPS or FedEx are doing anything today. I haven’t been checking my order status today for those reason.
