my order timeline so far:

March 23: Ordered built-to-order i5/16gb/1TB, delivery estimated for April 8 to April 15 (I'm in the U.S.)

March 27: Credit card (Apple Card) is charged (charge listed as "pending")

March 30: Order status updated from "processing" to "preparing for shipment" (credit card still shows the charge as "pending", even today on March 31)

April 1: shipped via UPS, expected delivery April 7. (Apple Card charge still shows as “pending”)

Still showing April 3rd delivery for mine (maxed out i7/16GB/2TB). Currently in Korea, so it has made it out of China.

Went from preparing to shipped last night. Apple says 4/9 delivery, UPS says 4/7.
i5/16/256 ordered 3/19

Mine that was ordered on 23rd of March finally shipped. i5/16/256 with US keys. Shows ETA April 9, whereas the estimate was April 3-10.
So it is going to take a full week to get to Japan from China.
Wish it would come earlier, but understandable under the circumstances.
Can't wait.

Mine was supposed to arrive today but is still in China. New estimate is Friday.

Same for mine. Build-to-order i5/16GB/256, ordered 3/25 with an estimated delivery date of 4/8-4/15. Payment processed and shipping initiated 3/30 (China local time), original estimated arrival date according to Fedex was today (April 7 according to Apple, which seemed weird), but it spent an unplanned overnight in Shanghai at the Fedex location and new ETA is Friday. Looks like within the last hour it's transitioned to "in transit" status, so it's on the move again.

(All of the above just informational for others; I'm in no way angry or irritated or complaining, given the current context.)

Same setup here, Ordered just day after and everything is shifted by a day. Estimated delivery April 16.
How is it for you on the DHL side?

Same exact scenario for me. Same build, same order date, etc. Our computers must be on the same plane.

I can wait a couple more days. It’s disappointing for sure, but there are so many other things that could be worse.

Ordered March 23rd (Canada) BTO i5/256/8GB, still stuck in Processing. Seems like others after mine are shipping. Strange. Estimated delivery for me was April 9-17.

I'm in the exact same boat as you but I'm in the US. So hang in there.

When did yours ship and when is the delivery?
Mine was shipped 3/31 and UPS says it will arrive 4/6. I was originally quoted 3/27-4/3, then Apple updated it to 4/9 when it shipped.

Mine was originally supposed to arrive by Friday, but now it is scheduled for Monday. Likely the lack of flights.

I do feel your pain, buddy. Order 21rst, still processing. Hang in there !

Do they ship 24/7 in China.

I assume they are running 24/7 in China but who knows. My guess would be that the i5/256/8 would be a very popular BTO config and it may have caught them off guard a bit. Sucks cause I got rid of my 2019 MBP last week and could really use a laptop now. Oh well. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things.

There is a backlog (ordered the i5/256/8) but it is caused by the lack of flights in China. Mine was shipped Monday 3/30 with expected delivery on 4/2. Since been updated to 4/6. Been sitting in the FedEx warehouse for 2 days. My Apple delivery window was April 8-16 so can't complain.

Interesting. So your window is April 8-16 and it's already shipped and mine is April 9-17 and it's still in processing. Same config.

I should note that its been stuck in the FedEx warehouse in Shanghai for 3 days so technically its been shipped but hasn't moved yet.

Placed Mar 19; i5/256/16. 🇨🇦 (w/ 7 Apr - 15 Apr estimate)
Moved to shipped today.
Apple says 14 April; UPS says 09 April.
Currently in Shanghai.

Welp, the Best Buy 5 minutes from my house has the $1299 in stock for pickup in an hour so I cancelled my i5/8gb/256gb and am just going to pick this up. Oh well, I spent a little more than I wanted but at least I don't have to worry about filling up the SSD.

Interesting...

Mine went from China to Japan. Normally Apple products go from Shanghai to Memphis.

It’s still scheduled to arrive on Friday. We will see.
