2020 MacBook Pro order status

Any other customers have their order come via UPS, get to Louisville, and then stop updating after their order was released from customs? Mine was released early yesterday and that the last status on the order. But, they did say it would be deliver tomorrow.

I am 1,800 miles from Louisville so I assume it is on a plane somewhere. But it would be nice to see where it is.

It would be strange that your package wasn't on that flight out this morning from Louisville given its been there since 05/16. As you mentioned, hopefully they haven't updated the scan yet but they are usually really good with that so might be on the flight out tomorrow. I'm hoping mine is as well since I missed the flight out this morning as well. Just hoping we get our laptops by end of Friday, might be tight though!

I’m no expert but I’ve just checked the history of that flight and unfortunately it appears that it flys that route just once a week (4th, 11th, 18th May) so presumably the next flight is on the 25th.

It’s possible that UPS have different routes out of Shanghai however. Alternatively they could send it on to Hong Kong from where they have a flight (almost everyday) to Dubai and then on to Cologne. This is flight 5X3.

Woke up this morning to a charge on my CC and a shipping notice from Apple! Hoping to see it by the end of the month.

My UPS tracking finally updated. Departure scan at 3:30pm today, Louisville, KY. Looks like it'll be on the next flight out at 5am to YHM. Sucks it took 4 days to leave Louisville but such is life in these times.

Glad to hear it's been updated. I'm hoping my package gets on that same flight tomorrow morning. It's still not showing a departure scan on my end. Would suck if it gets stuck there beyond tomorrow.

Honestly, I don’t expect to see a departure scan until the flight is wheels up.

Things are moving quickly now! Interestingly Fedex shows the shipment originating from Rialto, CA (not China as I would have expected).

The package has arrived much earlier than intended. This thing is a beast. Haven't run any benchmarks yet as I'm getting my dev tools setup... Xcode always takes forever to download...

Pros:
- Keyboard is MUCH more quiet than my 2016 nTB MBP
- The performance:size is amazing
- No delays
- Quiet. Fans briefly came on when installing my dev tools; but it's super silent for daily usage.

Cons:
- Touch ID to activate is meh. It works...
- Keyboard is great, but Touch Bar will take some getting used to. Glad for the escape key re-addition, but wish it was bigger.
- Keep glossing over the Touch Bar and accidentally hitting the panels...

Highly recommend. Hopefully things will get smoother once it finishes indexing, but so far so smooth. Hope you all enjoy your new machines.

Update: I got an email from UPS with the tracking number saying it's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow! I'm trying not to get my hopes up that it'll actually happen. UPS still hasn't received the package, but it shows as shipping from TN. I was going to put in a request that they hold it at the location for me to pickup, but now I think that might just delay it.

Final update: I got my laptop today! Using it now and loving it. UPS didn't actually get the package from Apple until yesterday, so it went really fast. Mine showed as shipping from TN, but the scan when UPS got it was in KY.

My credit card still hasn’t been charged! I ordered 10th gen i7/16gb/1TB 13inch on May 6. My delivery estimate is June 1-June 8. A lot of you guys have gotten your MacBooks delivered already :(

That's one thing about UPS I can't stand. They could easily deliver the package early, but most times when they set the delivery date, they rarely deviate from it. Even when the package is at your local distribution warehouse 15 minutes away from your house! Most likely it's for their own logistical reasons, but then that doesn't comfort when you see your package just sitting there for more time than seems necessary.
 
Interesting, my i5/16/1TB/Silver was ordered May 9th, today was both charged to my CC and shipped but according to UPS is shipping from Rialto, CA and not China. Also, Apple's original quote was May 27- June 4 delivery but since shipping this morning Apple is now saying May 21 for delivery.

I’ve always wondered whether in cases like that you can contact UPS and arrange to pick it up at the distribution center?
 
Since my MBP is on tour in Asia currently, I don't see updates during the day. I won't see updates until the morning until it reaches the US. For all this leisurely travel, I expect some souvenirs and gifts to come with my MBP when it shows up on Friday, lol

In the old normal, depending on your warehouse, you could do that, but now, I'm not even sure if they are open for pickups. I saw something online about delivering to an "Access Point", but I didn't look further to see what that meant. I want it delivered to my doorstep, not some random spot somewhere.

Nah, almost 2 weeks but nothing happened, CC not yet charged, still in processing, sometimes I wanna cancel the order but after reading some optimistic reviews about 2020 MBP, I have ended up leaving it there

LOL my MBP is also on tour in Asia, leisurely enjoying the sights and sounds of everything China and Japan have to offer.

It’s currently chillin in Osaka, munching on some authentic sushi, ramen and downing a couple sake bombs perhaps? Maybe it’ll text me a selfie of how much FUN it’s having without me!:confused:

So this is a first for me but it appears that my package has gone from Louisville to Mansfield, OH. The departure scan time in Louisville also changed from 3:30 to 5pm... Still scheduled for 21st delivery (i7/16/1TB, CAN) 5121801B-C7CE-4AF2-B91B-141BF6CB70C5.jpeg
