2020 MacBook Pro order status

Interesting, my i5/16/1TB/Silver was ordered May 9th, today was both charged to my CC and shipped but according to UPS is shipping from Rialto, CA and not China. Also, Apple's original quote was May 27- June 4 delivery but since shipping this morning Apple is now saying May 21 for delivery.

Make sure it’s brand new. It wouldn’t be the first time Apple repackages returned products and ships them out as new from inside the US. Rialto, CA might be one of their collection centers on the West coast, just like Carlisle, PA on the East coast.
If you have doubts about it, return it and order a new one. If you accept an exchange, the 14 days run from the first purchase and then you’re stuck in the repair cycle.

How long does it normally take for a status change from processing to shipping after your card gets charged? Ordered mine on the 15th and has been in processing since. Yesterday my card got charged.

i’m in michigan too! but mines coming wednesday, even though i ordered on may 4 9:20 am est.

For what it’s worth mine might have been a repackaged return as it shipped from Carlisle PA not China. Msybe that’s why yours is taking longer.

That looks to be a stock config which shows may 28 - June 4. Did you change something on it like keyboard language?

I bumped up the storage from 512GB to 1TB. That's it.

Interesting, any source for this claim? That also sounds somewhat illegal.

Well my 10th gen i7/16gb/1tb space grey ordered on launch day will be delivered tomorrow (Ohio). But I decided after shipping to order the “ultimate” i7/32gb/2TB instead (after lots of debate). Hasn’t shipped yet but hopefully not too long as it’s essentially a stock model and defaulted to expedited shipping. Not sure if I’ll just leave the initial order unopened and return or use it until second one gets here. May be hard to wait though.

I mean... There's no penalty to returning even if it's opened and used the full 14 days, but at the same time if it's just going to be a day or two it seems silly to set up a new computer just to wipe it.

Is this normal? Mine departed from Richmond to Calgary at 20 and it arrived in Calgary on the same day a few hours later. I assume that it's because there was no updates for three days, and maybe it was actually moving on Monday (Victoria day).

Ordered May 17 and it’s still in the processing stage and my delivery window is June 4-8. It’s a base MBP with 16 GB RAM upgrade.

Well this sucks. Mine has been in Louisville since first thing yesterday morning and still didn’t make the flight out this morning for Mount Hope. Any Hope I had of getting it before the weekend is now pretty much shot. That sucks.

I belive that the text under the green bar on their page just changed from something like "We have all the material to fullfill your order and will do so as soon as we can" to "We are processing your order and will contact you as soon as its sent". Could this be the case or am i getting confused from refreshing to many times?

I would think they send the stuff they have as fast as possible whatever the day of delivery is....

Oh I hear you on that. I’m on a 2013 MacBook Air with only 4GB of memory and I’m dying a slow and painful death over here!!! Lol

Ordered the same on the 15th, card charged yesterday, but still processing. Hopefully it changes to "shipped" today.

I spoke to Apple over the phone who informed me that the 13inch MBP is being produced in Amsterdam and the UK for the European market.

This is not correct. Mine was built in, and shipped from, China. I have never heard of a MacBook Pro production line outside of China.
