Don't forget those things called planes, lol! If it clears customs in Japan tonight and doesn't stopover for a day at another foreign destination, then there is hope still. Once in the US (hopefully at least to Anchorage), UPS can move packages from one end of the country to the other and to your doorstep in a day so long as the proper shipping has been paid for.
Moreover, don't forget, Osaka is a day ahead of us. If the shipment leaves during the afternoon Osaka time, it will arrive in Anchorage early morning local time. Now we're in the US, but at least another 7 hour flight from Anchorage to Louisville, but that's okay because we are still gaining time. Shipment reaches Louisville by the afternoon of tomorrow. That's time to clear customs at the main hub, get distributed and make the overnight travel to our local distributions centers during the sleeping hours of Friday morning. Enough time to get on a truck and we'll have an Out for Delivery Scan between 7:00 and 10:00 am local time Friday morning with Scheduled Delivery by 9pm (my UPS driver will arrive by 2-3pm at the latest). We'll enjoy our new 13" MBPs in time for the long Memorial Day weekend!
So let's lean back, have a good night's rest, then check our statuses in the morning when we wake up. I'll worry if our packages don't have a Departure scan or some indication of movement out of Japan because that would be critical.
