I got my full replacement macbook pro 2019 16 inch 2 days ago. First thing I did was upgrade from 10.15.3 to 10.15.4...March 2020 build date. Unboxing it, there's a suction cap mark around the apple logo. Refurb. Apple are just sending us each others macbooks now.
It froze & restarted (CPU Panic) with hardly anything installed, while sleeping. Only power cable plugged in. No bluetooth devices connected. Latest T2 firmware as well. Everyone, return this machine. Apple have totally stuffed up here and aren't admitting it. They will happily move on to next model without addressing this issue.
I bought mine in November 2019 and out the box it had this issue. Multiple logicboard replacements with no fix, then finally a full replacement since the constant restarting diminished battery life greatly. Replacement the same. Now April 2020. 5 months of this.
Check out how coconutBattery reports two different manufacture dates, Apple are just reserializing & changing board build date as well. They aren't even trying to address the issue.

I've shut the macbook down and will be refunding now. No point even ignoring the issue, if it can degrade the battery on my original machine I'm sure this refurbished replacement won't even make it to 12 months without some sort of serious failure. Waste of time & $7000.
Nope, didn’t get it. UPS still says it will be delivered today by 9pm, which was nearly two hours ago... Someone else said there package was stuck at Concord as well so I assume the same is happening with mine. UPS originally had my delivery for tomorrow so let’s see what happens.I've got the same update.
Did the member whose laptop was similarly trucked through Ohio yesterday get theirs today? @ccolaco
Mine is stuck at Concord, ON. Destination scan on Monday at 3:17 p.m. Estimated delivery was Tuesday. Never came. Apple's delivery estimate was today. It didn't come either.
I am hoping for tomorrow. We've had other UPS packages show up on time, the ones that were delayed were delayed by maybe two days, max. But Concord is supposedly pretty backed up and if your package gets stuck on one of the unloaded trailers, you could be in for quite a wait.
Also, if Concord is the facility responsible for final delivery, they have not been scanning the majority of our packages with out for delivery. It will have a destination scan and then just be delivered. So if you don't see an out for delivery scan....it could still come. It just makes for a very painful waiting game because instead of knowing right away, you find out later in the day.

UPS has been terrible as of late. I had a package delivered to Hamilton yesterday for work and it was stuck for 8 days in the void.
I’m really hoping that isn’t what I’m in for.
I understand how frustrating it is but you’ll get it before long.
I ordered mine (i7/16/512 in silver) on launch day (4th May) but it didn’t ship until the 17th (last Sunday). It then made really quick progress from Shanghai, via Seoul and Anchorage, to Cologne arriving just over 24 hours later. Impressive!
Unfortunately it has taken 3 days to cover the last 600 miles by road. It’s due today.
UPS are normally more efficient than this but we’re living in extraordinary times.
Funnily enough I had the MBA recently as well and that came quickly (after the inevitable shipping delay) via Dubai and Cologne, again with UPS. I bought it as a compromise as I was tired of waiting for the 2020 MBP but I was disappointed if I’m entirely honest, lovely though it was. Fortune smiled on me though as the new MBP was announced on the last day that I was entitled to initiate a return.
Yeh i know the feeling. The commentary around it getting hot are not exaggerated at all. They were really good about returning mine, it had a slight scratch on it and wouldn’t sit flat on on a glass table. Hoping I don’t have that issue with the MBP
So it looks like I have a destination scan at Concord at 3:30AM, delivery now scheduled for Friday May 22. Oddly enough I have something from adidas that was also sitting at Concord and is now ‘out for delivery’. Hoping both deliver today but I feel my MacBook Pro is also in limbo as @Thalyn has been reporting. May 22 was my original delivery date since ordering on the 4th.
How could it be? I also ordered on the same day but it still in processing...
Not sure if this makes sense, but maybe they use certain thresholds per region, rather than first come first serve to ensure product availability across the board. It's just a theory, but since I ordered on the 15th and mine is now being prepared to ship, it might be true.
I ordered the base model with 16GB btw.

I just added a gift message slip to mine “never order direct from apple again”
Base with 16GB, to be shipped to the UAE, but we got public holidays here until Tuesday/Wednesday, so I doubt I'll receive it before Thursday next week.
