I feel the same way. Unfortunately, nobody offers models with 32GB of RAM, so I had to order directly from the Apple site.
This is something I'll remember for the future...Adorama does, at least in the US, and with a $150 discount. But again thought I would get it faster directly from Apple, but that seems not to be the case.
Yep, same here. I'm pretty ticked off. This is the last item I order directly from Apple. I ordered directly thinking that was the fastest way to get it, but that is no longer the case. Might as well order from other places that offer discounts.

Our laptops must be on the same plane. Was sitting in Osaka since Tuesday for a Friday (tomorrow) delivery. Delivery just rescheduled to Wednesday (5/27). To be fair, the original Apple estimate was 5/28-6/1, but I had gotten my hopes up for an early delivery!

Someone above mentioned they might be batch shipping rather than sending out orders as they’re ready....that would make sense since there seems to be computers with a range of order dates sitting in Japan...I ordered mine on the 4th, as did @naturalstar I believe.

Just delivered! Funny enough, my wife's brand new ultimate Surface Book 3 was delivered at the same time. We'll see how is happier after a few months! Jealous of that Nvidia card...For those that are expecting their deliveries today, I received a text message from Apple today saying "today is the day" confirming that my delivery will be made today. Not sure if this helps anyone but it seems to confirm UPS' website update that my package will be in my hands by end of business today.

So for those of us with the Departure Scan at 10:15pm Osaka time, I hope that’s a true departure scan. It was a fake scan when it was in Shanghai. It was soon followed by an Arrival scan and sat overnight.
IF we do escape from Osaka, then there could still be a slim chance for tomorrow, but with every retailer throwing Memorial Day sales online and just the holiday in general, I’m not betting on anything.
ETA: The optimist in me also wants to think that with the time zone changes our packages are going through and UPS not operating at 100%, the system could just be updating to reflect normal calculated logistic algorithms based on this time of year. Sooooo, we could get our packages after all, just a glitch in the matrix so to speak is messing with our emotions. Or just mineI’m grateful that I can even afford to purchase this machine in this current climate.

As much as I want to believe, I'm going to pin my expectations on the Wednesday delivery and be pleasantly surprised if it shows up early.Ok, so in reviewing the past history of the flight found by @benredacted, this flight will make it to Anchorage in the afternoon ASKT and then fly on the Louisville, making it there in the dead of night. If UPS does what it normally does in the middle of the night at that hub, there’s still hope for Friday. If we have the A-Team working and not a B-Team crew, of course.
