Same here, also I get the student discount from Apple.
I’m showing out for delivery - but that doesn’t mean it’s actually getting here today... let’s see what happens.

It's no guarantee these days but it's looking pretty good given yours was already sorted and ended up on the delivery truck. You should get it today. Tomorrow, worst case.

I've found the issue seems to be when things get stuck on a destination scan because that likely means the package is stuck in one of the many unloaded trailers and certain facilities, like Concord in Ontario and Brossard in Quebec are worst hit. If yours ended up on a delivery truck, it's at least gotten through that stage where all the delays seem to be coming from.

I’m confused. Is UPS weird like that in Canada? If we get an Out for Delivery scan, it most certainly means that it will show up that day, unless there’s that off chance of a bad driver or some unusual circumstance.

Under normal circumstances, that's what it means. Even now, if it actually makes it on the truck, delivery should occur that day. But UPS in Canada is pretty messed up right now. Going through the support page on Twitter, there are indeed complaints of items going out for delivery but getting delayed.

However, the majority of the problems are from packages getting stuck after a destination scan because they're waiting in one of the many unloaded trailers.

There are also missing scans. In my case, we've had items get a destination scan and then be delivered the next day or the day after. No out for delivery scan. Destination scan ---> delivered.

My MacBook Pro is currently stuck at the Concord facility after a destination scan on Monday and because our packages rarely get an out for delivery scan....it's essentially a guessing game. Is it coming today? Is it coming tomorrow? Who knows!

UK i7/16/512 Silver
Ordered 4th May
Delivered 21st May

Well, it finally arrived this morning, 17 days after it was ordered.

Set it up using Migration Assistant from my 2016 MBP, and it’s.... faulty! 😤 Never happened to me in 13 years of buying Apple Mac computers.

What a pain after all this waiting and anticipation.

The Touch Bar constantly flashes brightly. It’s such a distraction that it’s unusable. Googled the problem which revealed that others have had the same situation in previous models and that a solution might be to reset the SMC and the NVRAM. Tried that. Didn’t work.

It will have to go back which means placing another order and waiting....

...until the middle of June! 🙄

I’m sorry to hear that, that really sucks.

Oh my goodness, that’s too much. That’s like DHL here - packages just show up at random. Good luck if the tracking number ever provides anything useful. Fortunately, it’s been a long time since I’ve ordered anything that came through them. At least most everyone’s home so that someone is there to receive the package when it does finally arrive, but I get the annoyance nonetheless.

Order date: 4 May
Estimated delivery: 22 May

This launch day order has finally delivered to Richmond Hill, ON. UPS tracking showed a destination scan at Concord (my main distribution centre) and never had an 'out for delivery' as @Thalyn has been saying. Be on the lookout for yours @A1MB1G

Let’s keep the faith!!! I got my wife’s discount through her employer which works out to slightly better than the student rate. Any discount on Apple products is a good thing!!

Glad yours was delivered. I am hoping against all logic that mine finally shows up today after two days in a row of no delivery.

I think I'm in for the long haul though....guess I got unlucky and it's stuck on a trailer....or worse.

Ouch, that's tough luck. Maybe it's worth looking at Amazon or John Lewis for a replacement, where turnaround may be quicker?

Mine is due tomorrow, I would do the same were it not for the corporate discount I can access at the Apple Store.

Thanks for the tip - it’s not a bad idea but unfortunately I’m relying on a discount with Apple too. I’ll just have to be patient.

Good luck with your delivery.

My MBP just shipped today and is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. It shows it’s coming from Carlisle, PA.

Why would it be coming from there and not the usual route my Apple orders take from China?

15th - ordered
19th - card charged
21st - shipped and departed from China.

How nice that we have a bank holiday starting tomorrow until Tuesday, gonna have to wait for it until Wednesday! :/

Did you try erasing the partition, reinstalling macOS from the internet and resetting up? I would give that a shot before returning.

Can't believe an internet forum has convinced me to sit here and look at a United Parcel Service flight tracking web page. Ah, the things we do when we're stuck inside.
o_O

Mine has also been delayed from 5/22 to 5/27.

My package no longer shows on a truck for delivery and they added a second customs update. This is how much ups is sucking lately.
