Seems like Omoton hasn't listed their new screen protectors in the US yet. Let us know how it is!

A single unlucky drop out of my pocket hit the base of my microphone stand and shattered my FLOLAB. RhinoShield has listed their SE exclusive screen protector and seems to swear it's 3D, so I've ordered one. Fingers crossed!!

Got my amFilm today. It definitely doesn’t have the halo. My only gripe is the glass is really thick, and since it doesn’t really cover the entire glass, I feel like catching the edges might get a little annoying. Overall though I’m happy to have one that looks better.

I’m attaching a pic. If you see some slight light around the edges, it’s just the way the light catches that thick edge of the glass.

Did the box state it was for the new SE? I got a replacement from Amfilm but the box only says 4.7” iPhone. No mention of SE on the box. Trying to see if I should open it or not.

I know where you’re coming from I had a glass protector on my SE when I first got it and it had terrible halo. I bought some cheap ($1.25 for 3) film protectors off of eBay to hold me over until the glass ones figured it out. Just like how I like the smaller thinner size of the SE, I’m loving the thinness off the film protector. It’s been a long time since I used one. I’m thinking I’m just gonna stick with it.

Well, it turned out great as expected:

For those who don’t have a case and prefer edge-to-edge screen protectors, that’s what their 2-pack is made for.

After contacting support, they sent me here :
I don't know.. it shows as it was first available April 29, and no comments, no nothing..
What do you think?

I'll add the Spigen [Glas.tR AlignMaster] to the list of good edge-to-edge screen protectors, along with the Manto. In fact, I'd place it just above the Manto.

Amazon - Spigen [Glas.tR AlignMaster]

Here's the haps: loved my Manto, but dropped my phone on the gravel driveway face down (really???!!, I've had this phone for like 10 seconds!). Screen protector cracked, but saved the phone; can't ask for any more than that in this case. Since I used both Mantos on my phone and my wife's, I had to buy some freshies. Unfortunately, Amazon was all sold out of the Mantos, so I had to try something else. Along came the Spigen (which had previously not existed), and it says it's specifically designed for the SE 2020. However, they also claim it fits the iPhone 8/7 so I knew it wouldn't be curved, but I was ok with that.

I'm very happy with the Spigen. It seems to have smoother edges than the Manto and I didn't need to use the "oil around the edge" trick to get rid of any lingering halo. I just pressed the edges down for a little bit and then it stayed halo-free. My best guess is they probably repurposed their 8/7 glass but added thicker/stronger adhesive to get the edges to stay down. But I'm just guessing at that.

The Manto is MUCH better. It covers 62.5mm of the 64mm screen width, there is virtually no halo (or if there is, it's MOSTLY masked by the black edging; see red arrow in picture), and the gaps between the protector and the case are so small it's almost impossible to pull up the edge of the protector on accident (at least with our thick profile Speck cases). The ONE thing I have to call out about the Manto is that its "viewing window" (due to the black edging) is slightly smaller than the visible screen. I've measured the visible screen as 58.5mm and the Manto's viewing window (between the black edges) is 57.5mm. I'd say it's hardly noticeable, but that might still be a factor for some readers.

Here's the Manto on my wife's phone:

At this point, I'm happy to recommend the Edge to Edge Manto for most people (white or black, their clear protector is not Edge to Edge). It'll come in the mail faster than the Flolab and it's cheaper and a 2-pack, but I certainly wouldn't fault anyone if they prefer to get the Flolab which is known for being an ultra-premium quality glass. (And I reserve the right to stand corrected if someone else chimes in saying the Flolabs are updated and actually curved.)

In re-reading primarycolors' post above, I will say that the Manto I'm recommending is probably pretty similar to their Flolab, including the problems. The side view of the Manto is very similar to their side view of the Flolab; not very rounded. Still, as far as I'm concerned, it seems this is about as good as it gets right now.

Manto on Amazon

I'm also waiting on another one - ESR Maximum Protection Full Coverage - which claims to have 3D rounded edges - though I won't be surprised if it ends up being flat. I'll submit a follow up if it outperforms the Manto.

And if you care to have all those measurements at a glance, here they are:

Speck Phone cases: 64mm screen width (between rubber edges)

TP Protector: 59mm coverage
Manto Protector: 62.5mm coverage

Phone's Visible Screen: 58.5mm
Manto's Viewing Window: 57.5mm

Does the Manto have three actual holes above the earpiece? Or are they just transparent circles under the glass?

After being disappointed with Manto and FLOLAB, I've finally found an edge-to-edge screen protector that's truly curved and installs with no halo!! :)

It's the RhinoShield 9H Tempered Glass Screen protector.
  • The adhesive is super thick and laid on perfectly. No halo at all.
  • The edge is actually curved. There's still a noticeable edge, but it's less apparent than the other brands.
  • The adhesive doesn't extend to the curved edges, so dust is less likely to collect.
  • The corner radius correct unlike the FLOLAB.
  • It does cover a bit of the screen along left and right, but a negligible amount (talking 1/8 mm as opposed to 3/4 like the others)
Only thing I'm a bit concerned by is that there is no adhesive sealing between the proximity + light sensors and the top edge of the phone, so there's a chance dust may get in there. But thus far, I'm very happy.

Lol, I think the following is a much more obvious example of a halo effect. ;)

(For what it's worth, this was a left over amFilm, which works fine on my work iPhone 8, but has this horrible effect on my personal SE.)

Glad you posted this. I also have the amFilm screen protector. Now I won't have to waste one on my new SE2020.

That actually is the problem I’ve got now with my Supershieldz full screen protectors with the black edges. First there was a little halo but after a week it finally settled out, so I was happy at first. But pretty quickly there’s dust accumulating daily where the front facing camera is. So far, though my pictures don’t seem to be affected, oddly enough.

These protectors are for the iPhone 8 and earlier. I just got them because I’ve always liked the brand and figured they’d do for awhile until we all find a brand that works properly. I need edge to edge coverage because due to my neurological issues, my poor phones are at risk for some nasty drops. I don’t really want to leave any glass showing.

I’m waiting to see what Caudabe comes out with. I’ve installed their tempered glass on my 11 Pro and my kids and friends’ kids’ iPhone XR’s and have been impressed so far with the clarity, smoothness and scratch resistance. Their site says their iPhone SE 2020 product line is “coming soon”.

I received Amfill's new iphone 8 glass protectors. Fits perfectly. Their older version (from over a year ago) didn't work at all. Pleased with their new design.

Well, I’m stuck in the same boat as most in this thread. Received my new se yesterday and tried putting the spigen 2020 se screen protector on and it failed. I’ve used spigen products on the last 3 iPhones without issues so that was my go to. Now, insane amount of halo on the sides of the screen and the black border cuts off a small piece of the letters Q and P when the keyboard is open. I’ve ordered the Maxboost screen protector from amazon that shipped and will be here tomorrow, but I see some of you have tried it and still the same haloing. I think, if I remember correctly, the dbrand prism screen protector fits the new se perfectly. I don’t want to spend $40 just to be disappointed again. I’ll see if I can make the maxboost protectors work when they arrive. Until then, I have the spigen one on in all it’s halo glory.

I did. Thought the verdict was still out the amFilm. I went ahead and ordered through the link you posted; $7 with one day shipping isn’t bad.

I can definitely recommend the Amfilm. Their newer version not the old one from 2-3 years ago. Fit perfectly and no halo whatsoever.

Agreed on the amFilm. Works flawlessly!
The Spigen didn't fit and left a halo, even though it claims it was made for the iPhone SE2 (and I swear by Spigen screen protectors for my iPhone 11).
And same with the JETech, that one left a halo.

Again, super happy with the amFilm, plus it was the cheapest of the bunch. Thank god Amazon allows for returns on "improper listings" given those other two didn't work.

Time to give this screen protector a shot. The label kind of worries me since it has “SE(2020)” listed as compatible devices. The pics in this thread where I see the protector fits says “4.7” iPhone. Let’s see how this goes

Edit: And, the amFilm fits perfectly! Zero halo issues and it was a breeze to install. However, it’s a tad bit crooked, if someone looks at it, it’s hard to point out. But, since I know it’s there I may apply the second screen protector from amFilm in a few days. Thank you everyone for recommending this screen protector.

I had the alignment frame from a different protector that had a huge halo so I used that and lined it up perfect.
